Yeah, one of the writers wanted a big tweest at the end where Dutch was revealed to be a serial killer (to the audience), but he was overruled. Which is for the best IMO. It would have been cheap and unncessary.

Funnily enough the writers could never mantain him as corrupt as they wrote him in the first few episodes.
They show him helping drug dealers push dope and killing a cop to hook vieweres in but as they write his morality later on its obvious he would have never done those things.
For me, it was the Dutch and Claudette dynamic.

It's famous for its ending. If you like season 2, just stick through to the end. Personal favorites of mine are s4, s5 and s7 but that's probably just because the finale is so fricking good. Top three series endings of all time.
