He didn't aim for anyone in particular. All he knew is that if you kill someone while filming, they have to be your slave in the afterlife. He's building his entourage
If he didn't intend to shoot why did he yell "clear backblast" before pressing the trigger? He kept her in the reticle until the missile hit when he could have easily steered it away.
I'd feel like this in America, if I accidentally shot someone I'd be on the defensive like my boy kyle the killer, never know how many "medics" are out there
my guess as to how this went down: >show up to work on your cheap shitty movie >all the libshit crew has moods ranging from numbness and apathy to angry hostility >everyone on drugs probably >shows up to set up the shot, grab the gun off the table they left it on the day before >forget that someone was high as frick and loaded real bullets into it for some reason no one can remember >person dies
director yells cut in scene where no gun is involved, take ten everyone
Alec leaves set, enters car, opens glove box, grabs personal six shooter, loads bullets into gun, returns to set, walks up to woman, sticks gun into woman's mouth, wieners gun, pulls trigger, woman collapses to ground, alec repositions gun into her dead mouth, wieners gun/pulls trigger 4 more times expelling all bullets, continues wienering/pulling trigger into her dead mouth 30 or 40 times in a daze until the cops arrive and pull him off woman, i don't understand why he walks free
Really anon?
I know nothing about this case but imagine this: > movie scene > dramatic moment > protagonist points gun at camera, close up, emotions in actors face. He pulls the trigger
you have seen this 1000x in movies. It requires pointing of gun at camera. Even for rehearsal it would be pointed at cinematographer so he could get an idea of camera position etc
Afaik >shooting scene with “prop gun” (read: real gun supposedly with blank rounds) >during a discussion on the scene Alex gestures gun towards camera demonstrating how he wanted to do the scene >”somehow” the gun fires >wetbacks on site apparently using the gun at some point earlier on a live range >gun was never cleared from that point until the next >Alec claimed he was told the gun was a “cold gun”
The argument seems to boil down to three points
1. Why didn’t the armourer do her job and clear the weapon, and how much responsibility lies on Alec for hiring incompetent staff with a history of unsafe working practice
2. Did Alec have any responsibility himself to check the weapon before pointing it at something he didn’t want to kill
3. Alec claims he didn’t pull the trigger, but many disagree (including the FBI I believe) saying as the weapon is double action it’s physically impossible to fire it without pulling the trigger, implying Alec was being negligent and not maintaining trigger discipline.
On the back of the last point, the FBI apparently damaged the weapon in their investigation and Alec’s lawyers used this an excuse to have the findings they presented dismissed.
Might have a few of the details wonky, but that’s my take
Honestly I hate Alec Baldwin and would be happy to see him in jail, but I fail to see how he is at fault here. They were shooting a movie, and some scense require you to point the gun at the camera. It's the set armorers fault for not clearing the gun and making sure it was safe, that's their whole job. I understand the rules of firearm safety, but this is a case where you are shooting a movie and are told that the prop gun you were given is safe to shoot, and you trust this statement because the whole purpose of the set armourer is to make sure you can safely fire the prop guns. It's the armourers fault for allowing a real loaded gun to be on the set not the actor who thought it was safe
Was there any legitimacy to the claims that Baldwin refused to pay attention when they went through gun safety on the set? I remember there being an article about it.
An easier question is, what's a list of Alec Baldwin kino that prove his artistic contribution to humanity so he can sit this one out? Maybe even get another freebie (on an Ukrainian)?
Jason Clarke played Ted Kennedy in Chappaquiddick (2016). Think he can play Alec for Rust (202x)? He deserves another leading role after mogging in Oppy.
In seriousness do you guys think he was just playing thinking "point, click haha got you" but then it fired?
That millisecond must be so surreal. For the rest of the day you think it's all a nightmare but then the next morning it's a nightmare you wake up to.
He should totally see some jail time btw. He had a gun in his hand, pointed it at a person and pulled the trigger. Nobody believes the "it fired by itself"
What I really think he means by "I didn't pull the trigger" is that he was pulling on the hammer and let it slip before it was wienered. That fires most of the time.
He didn't.f
>Come on, Lemon. What do we elites do when we screw up? We pretend it never happened and give ourselves a giant bonus.
Read it in his voice. All it needs is a semi-obscure reference to a politician or business leader from the 60s.
>100 round drum magazine
>empties entire thing
>accident
Happens to the best of us.
The gun was semi-auto.
are you moronic? it was bolt action
Muzzle loaded actually.
He took "coffee" breaks three times during the shooting which lasted seven hours.
>Muzzle loaded actually.
Wait what
How do you accidentally muzzle load a real bullet instead of a blank
Sheer dedication
Maybe he has a highly selective version of Parkinson, causing him to involuntarily squeezing the trigger repeatedly.
He didn't aim for anyone in particular. All he knew is that if you kill someone while filming, they have to be your slave in the afterlife. He's building his entourage
He just has high luck.
Probably in an establishing frame moment where the gun is aimed at the DoP with their camera.
The question is why did he pull the fricking trigger
no the question is why was he given a gun loaded with live ammo on a movie set.
Because he, the producer, was lax with on set safety?
>I shot the DP but I didn't shoot the assistand
He looks like he enjoys the occasional glass of port.
She was making a move
If he didn't intend to shoot why did he yell "clear backblast" before pressing the trigger? He kept her in the reticle until the missile hit when he could have easily steered it away.
Was just following orders!
Dindu nuffin!
She was trying to shoot him herself
It was shoot or get shot
I'd feel like this in America, if I accidentally shot someone I'd be on the defensive like my boy kyle the killer, never know how many "medics" are out there
Her shooting was out of frame so he showed her
he wasn't really thinking about that because he thought it was a cold gun and it wasn't his problem
ABS
Always Be Shooting

Who hired these people?
Iirc, then the woman in charge of the prop gun was a relatively untrained nepotismhire.
This is probably the closest to what actually happened. Just a bunch of silly goons that didn't know wtf they were doing.
Right, sure, but why point it at a cinematographer and pull the trigger, even if he thought it wasn't loaded or was loaded with blanks?
The lock on tone was clearly audible. He knew it was a live missile and was pulling 8G to stay on her tail. Accident my ass.

One shot, one kill is the gold standard for snipers. He took out TWO people with one shot.
An accident? He could have decided not to put in the nuclear codes for launch. This was no accident - this was a choice.
Even if he is found guilty, he’s still only looking at an 18 month sentence. It’s fricked
He fell on the uplink panel somehow causing the orbital weapons platform to target her. Just bad luck.

I've never seen that happen. In fact the camera is very rarely in shot.
cinematographer is not the camera man

It's pretty hard to hit someone if'n you don't aim at them.
>alec baldwin
>isn't bald
And we're supposed to trust this guy?
never trust a baldlet
And he didnt even win the trial
Gunner, HEAT, Cinematographer!
UP!
Fire!
On the way
TARGET, cease fire
No, child, I did not pull the trigger. Enjoy prison, stalker.

But did he really need to fire all his rounds while screaming "DIE YOU FRICKING b***h"?
He livestreamed taking a dump on her grave.
>It's the armourers fault
her trial is very soon.
?si=QH2JowiSO5GjwWJC
He’s gonna get off with a slap on the wrist. Won’t even serve a full year, assuming he goes to prison at all
Im betting he gets a sweet biopic deal from this whole thing, and gets a huge payout to quietly retire with.
Well sir, upon sighting the cinematographer I naturally gave the order to fire, that's my style sir.
I exhaled air sharply via my nasal passage.
Sharpely?
>He who loses the life of the King's cinematographer loses the King's friendship
This is why guns should be banned.
No it's why cinematographers should be armed.
No one can shoot back at the movie leads. Who's gonna promote the movie?
Was there any legitimacy to the claims that Baldwin refused to pay attention when they went through gun safety on the set? I remember there being an article about it.
She was a diversity hire and he realized she was ruining the movie.
An easier question is, what's a list of Alec Baldwin kino that prove his artistic contribution to humanity so he can sit this one out? Maybe even get another freebie (on an Ukrainian)?

He shot the director too

Where is that Baldwin tweet about guns
In seriousness do you guys think he was just playing thinking "point, click haha got you" but then it fired?
