Because he isn't a psychopathic manchild like Bruce.
Because he’s a coddled little b***h unlike Bruce
? Dick went from training to be an acrobat to watching his parents get shot and training to be Batman and he’s coddled? Bruce was literally just a rich kid until his parents were shot and he decided to be Batman.
Ass conquers all.
Not enough personality to spend time on that
Bruce had no one to comfort him and direct his anger. Dick had Bruce and Alfred to help him.
>Bruce had no one to comfort him
He had Alfred though. Why do the comics like to pretend he was such a non-entity when Bruce was growing up?
Did you read the comic posted?
Alfred raising Bruce is heavily exaggerated. Not even a tho g until after 85 and even then it’s mostly him going along with Bruce’s crusade
Great page.
Overwhelming majority of people don't turn random traumatic events into an all-consuming lifelong obsession.
The point was always that Dick was going to, though. That out of all the orphans Bruce saw over those first few years, he saw a sense of kinship in Dick, and vowed to help him through it.
Joker raped him at some point and it turned him gay
First of all, They were already in a death defying profession. He was probably mentally prepared for their deaths in some way as it is. Then he had Bruce there to swoop in and have a hand in guiding him.
Bruce's family weren't circus performers and Alfred wasn't equipped to fill the guardian role in a way that would have kept Bruce grounded
Because the idea of dressing up and fighting crime in a superhero costume because of your parent's death is a stupid kid fantasy, and it's one he actually got to indulge in as a kid. Bruce had to wait until he was an adult before he could do it, so he never got the same degree of fulfillment out of it.
Drugs
Parent's killer was brought to justice and Bruce acted as a perfect cautionary tale for Dick on what he could easily become.
He had Bruce and he got his justice
>and he got his justice
So did Bruce. Dick wasn't left to do whatever he wanted alone, so he grew to be a tad more well-adjusted/less autistic.
Bruce had nobody
Dick had Bruce
Bruce had people, whenever it's Alfred, Leslie, Gordon or some aunt that isn't a thing anymore... He had no one with actual authority over him however, so he did whatever he wanted to do. Dick couldn't brute force through Bruce the way Bruce did with anyone who knew his parents.
doubt
It's not brute forcing if Bruce is agreeing. He's a manchild afterall. Dick didn't go to school because he wanted to. Nor did he went after Zucko right away because Bruce stepped his foot down.
he fought crime early instead of waiting 15 years
Didn't Bruce frick off to Europe and learn kungfu by himself for most of his formative years before returning to Gotham? Bruce did not have Alfred growing up.
Shouldn’t you go to Asia to learn Kung fu?
Alfred was always in Gotham watching over the mansion. Bruce was abroad in what was probably his late teens and early 20s. So he had Alfred watching over him from childhood to his teen years and then years later when he returned to Gotham.
I think the general theme now is that Dick was able to resolve his parents murder with Bruce's help by capturing the people responsible for their deaths. So it allowed Dick to grow up without that weighing him down and move on, but Bruce was never able to capture his parents killer (even though now they've written tons of stories about it with Joe Chill) and that is why he never was able to move on from their deaths.
Ass too big to need parents
