It’s just often with a child talent they lose their photogenic camera-loves-you look as they pass puberty. Many are also messed up by being child stars. Of course, there are others who make that transition perfectly fine. In his case, I believe he’s still acting here and there, he just doesn’t really look like the kid he was.
In Holowood its also about knowing people and child actors dont really make these kinds of contacts as they are just kids so once they grow they basically have to start over competing for low tier gigs. Some manage the jump, most dont.
