You'd think they'd learn that when it comes to the elite of the elite, the top tier does not care any more for them than they do for us, but their slightly shorter ivory tower is still too tall to see the peasants.

Provide proof of screenwriters and actors telling people to learn coding.

This is an article from five days ago. It is literally telling workers that they need to retrain or they will be dropped. In the year 2023 they are still telling blue collar workers to learn new skills, frick these whiny b***hes in Hollywood.

I don't understand why one of the major focuses of their strike is that they don't want to be replaced by AI. I don't recall Hollywood ever mentioning AI before it started, and I'm pretty sure I only saw stuff about Hollywood potentially using AI to write because of the strikes.

      Anonymous

They were going to be cut off regardless, the writing profession has become severely overinflated. Productions simply can't afford to keep around all of these people around and everyone is starting to feel the squeeze.

AI is just a convenient scapegoat for the writers to use. It shifts the discussion and makes everyone forget this is simply just Hollywood studios tightening their belts.

      That's the best part.
They picked a time where Hollywood was churning out nothing but expensive flops and hemorrhaging money to strike.

Because they didn't think it could happen to them. They think they're special and elite because people know their names.

The real truth they hate is that they're replaceable and most people are happy to have Hollywood die off.

  26. 9 months ago

So the funny thing is about these strikes is they parade their most famous stars (to garner media attention, clicks and views) however the people reading these stories know the most famous stars are multi-multi-millionaires with vast fortunes, so they don't give a shit.
Which is why these speeches often have to add
    >M-Most of our members... a-are very poor... on the breadline"
but people still don't care, they can't afford to feed their families and they're supposed to care about Hollywood screenwriters and actors.
    lol lmao

I don't mind people that disagree with me, but the writers and actors in Hollywood literally hate me and want me dead or at least suffering. Frick them.

I'm reminded of some of my buddies, all they do these days is drone on about how some group out there hates them, wants them dead, there's always some people "out there" to be angry at, even after a while the phase of "dude it's just so funny, laugh at what these homosexuals are doing" got old, because they talk about nothing else.

Launch writers into the sun. Stir fry writers in a wok. Toss writers into active volcanoes. Urinate into a writers gas tank. Judo throw writers into a wood chipper. Twist writers heads off. Report writers to the IRS. Karate chop writers in half. Curb stomp pregnant writers. Trap writers in quicksand. Crush writers in the trash compactor. Liquefy writers in a vat of acid. Eat writers. Dissect writers. Exterminate writers in the gas chamber. Stomp writer skulls with steel toed boots. Cremate writers in the oven. Lobotomize writers. Mandatory abortions for writers. Grind writer fetuses in the garbage disposal. Drown writers in fried chicken grease. Vaporize writers with a ray gun. Kick old writers down the stairs. Feed writers to alligators. Slice writers with a katana.
