I was honestly expecting to hate this for the exact same reasons as this anon but I actually watched it, unlike most of Cinemaphile, and some parts took me by surprised. The animation was strangely decent, you probably have to see this show in motion to get what I'm talking about. It wasn't movie tier or anything but it definitely looked better than most nick shows at the time which I think was Breadwinners and S&C. I don't know if stayed like this for the remainder of series as I've only watch a few of the early episodes when it was on.
Another thing I was surprised about was that it was a full 20minute children cartoon comedy, no 2 10minute episodes thing. Which was rare. As for the show itself, I barely remember much else about it other than Cinemaphile gawking at the amount of pantyshots from the goat girl.
Yeah, Pig Goat Banana Cricket easily had some of the most gorgeous non-Sponge animation in post-2010 TV animation. Animation services were actually split between two different studios across the series' run: Yeson Entertainment (in S. Korea) and Ánima Estudios (in Mexico). Even the latter's episodes still looked decent despite being tweened. Nick had clearly put a lot of money into this show. The 22-minute run time also helped it stand out at the time. Each episode gave the four titular characters their own individual subplots to follow, and it was always cool to see said subplots weave together by the end each time. Jokes could range from being pretty funny to embarrassingly juvenile, so the writing was kind of hit-or-miss; but I remember having a good time overall. And yes, I want to frick Goat.
Same anon you replied to, I didn't say Sanjay & Craig was bad. I was talking about the the animation in PGBC when I said "looked better than most nick shows at the time". Not the show's artstyle.
Surprisingly, Cinemaphile seems to be warming up to it this past year as there's been a few threads every now and then (Some of those go over 100 replies).
I think it's because it had Linda Cardellini in it.
>Secret Mountain Fort Awesome >Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures >Fairly OddParents Season 9 >The 7D >Pig Goat Banana Cricket
Why was Paul Rugg involved with shitty cartoons in the 2010s?
>Better than Breadwinner
Burning alive is better than Breadwinners. >Twerking Ducks
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
>all these anons saying the show looked ugly
This is why we can't have nice things. How was this any different from Ren & Stimpy, the show you guys are always heralding as the best fricking cartoon?
>puke and boogers colour pallet
>nitpicking
Visuals is literally the first thing you look at.
Look at it and ask me again
I never even heard of this show
Didn't become an instant smash hit in 17 seconds, so off to Nicktoons and used as a tax write off loss it goes.
>Hideous art style
>Terrible writing
>The fricking laziest title ever conceived
I don't know OP, you tell me.
>Hideous art style
Get better eyes.
This, it’s just a fliescher inspired style with an added “doodle” effect to it. It’s nothing offensive or anything.
Anon, this show looks like doodoo
Says the guy who thinks Bushworld Adventures looks like total beauty.

Hey Sanjay and Craig at least gave some awesome backgrounds.
As did PGBC.
>Dave Cooper designed New New York
It all makes sense now…
Same anon you replied to, I didn't say Sanjay & Craig was bad. I was talking about the the animation in PGBC when I said "looked better than most nick shows at the time". Not the show's artstyle.
What was so bad about Sanjay and Craig.

It was released within Nick's "Bad Era" and may not had or may in fact had contributed to said "Bad Era".
>Nick's "Bad Era"
Where does said era start and where does it end? assuming it ever ended

I actually really liked that show. Better than Breadwinners, not quite as good as Sanjay and Craig.
>Better than Breadwinner
Burning alive is better than Breadwinners.
>Twerking Ducks
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Sanjay and Craig was kino and I’m still mad Cinemaphile missed out on it.
it had a cute policewoman wiafu
>Why did it fail?
Not enough Goat fan service.
>detailed hands
kinda makes me horny
because they didn't make it as cool or underground-esque as the pilot
I really wish they kept James Urbaniak for Cricket/Mantis.
It's hard to look at. Pure eye cancer
It wasn't very good.
>starred Biff Tannen
Based show
>all these anons saying the show looked ugly
This is why we can't have nice things. How was this any different from Ren & Stimpy, the show you guys are always heralding as the best fricking cartoon?
Too many babies filtered by the cool art style who kept us from getting more Goat porn.
cute.
One of my favourite end credits sequences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnB3EhSDWg4
I honestly don't know, I thought it was pretty good, probably the best nicktoon since Avatar.
honestly I only know the existence of this show for the junior rangers who look like camp Lazlo characters.
Banana names them all Greg to avoid confusion,
>all these anons crying about how """""ugly""""" the show looks
>now all we have is calarts shit and such
You did this to yourselves. Don't b***h now.
i wish it stuck to the tone the pilot had it was way better that way also the art style was so ugly in the finaly show compared to the pilots
not enough Cricket
