>Fun fast-paced plot. The entire movie is just Leatherface killing sjws.
>Cute protagonist.
>Doesn't retcon the original trilogy
It's a great sequel. I don't get the hate.

frick i haven't watched it yet, hold on i'll brb
Tell me what you think
>Cgi gore
that completely ruins it
Was this the one where the Starbucks kids wanted to gentrify the hills have eyes town?
It's the one where some hipster was going to try to get leatherface canceled on twitter.
I think that's the one - it got mistaken as a pro sjw movie since nobody rly watched it and the gore was kinda weak. Also usually TCM had a psychological horror touch to it which was completely missing.
This movie is hated because it is absolute garbage. Post a scene you think is good from YouTube so people can see the slop poop you watch
If you were actually impressed by him killing le SJWs you are a very easily manipulated person.
I don't care about identity politics so don't bother with the zoom zoom salabim bs.
For anyone wondering if this is good:
>the protagonist is a school shooting survivor as le serious satire
>none of the family is in it
>they did reshoots to add 2018 Halloween Laurie
>almost all kills are off screen and it ends with a shitty recreation of the final shot of TCM recorded on cheap netflix digital cameras
TL; DR its shit you're dumb
This thread is for true horror fans. Not film fans.
Texas Chainsaw 1 and 2 are kino of the highest order.
Even Halloween 6 is more kino than this Netflix slop.
Terrifier = soul slop
Netflix horror = no IQ consoomer slop
There is a limit
>If you were actually impressed by him killing le SJWs
It was hilarious. The bus scene is iconic. You're just a bitter cat lady.
>I don't care about identity politics
Funny way of saying you're a cuck. As long as they come here legally, am I right? Kek.
>>none of the family is in it
They all die in the first 3 movies, you ignorant moron. Watch the og content first and then post in this thread.
First 3 movies are not canon very explicitly. Leatherface died on 2 and the family history is different
It's trash in every way. Both on a technical level and as a B movie.
Guide to making movies morons will like in 2023:
>film the most liberal Netflix slop possible on cheap digital cameras
>reshoot is so every character says "I'm da SJW" before they die
There you go. You'll have lots of fans once they're done eating their own shit
>First 3 movies are not canon very explicitly
Only the intro of those movies is contradictory. But the writers from the netflix movie stated that the events from 2 and 3 are not explicitly retconned. So even though 2 and 3 contradict each other, the events of those movies could have happened anyway. They are planning to bring Caroline Williams back as Stretch for another sequel. And maybe Ken Foree as Benny as well.
>Leatherface died on 2
It's a movie. The next sequel can always make him survive his last injuries. .
>the family history is different
It just adds new family members. It doesn't change the original family tree.
>liberal Netflix slop
It's not liberal at all. The movie has liberals in it but the movie itself never comes off as preachy or self-righteous.
>every character
Every character who encounters Leatherface dies, no matter their race, politics or religion.
The way you type makes it really obvious you're a teenager
Not an argument
The scene where the interracial couple harass the old white woman was kino
>old white woman tries to be nice and says "our orphanage always looked out for Black folks"
>black kid nogs out and says "get out, we own this place"
>old lady says the bank helped her and got her the deed to the place
>nog doesn't believe it
>lady dies of a heart attack
>white gf looks in their trailer and can't find the deed to the house
>nog doesn't want to hear it
>white gf checks the old ladies house, finds the deed, and realizes the old lady was right and did own the house
It was a good sequence of events and showed how dumb nogs are hotheads that lack any logical thought.
I actually laughed at that, he had such a nog moment, chimping out about the confederate flag that he couldn't see he was in the wrong in every single way. They were even trying to be nice to him about it.
This is a mind rotted moron who can't even watch films. I am only reply to explain that your opinion is worthless. You're reviewing it like an episode of Bill Maher and not a horror movie
I do not care about your world views
I explained how the sequence was good you dumb fricking homosexual.
>shitty CGI gore
>doesn't look anything like Texas
>hamfisted OWN DA LIBS social commentary
>Leatherface is a mastermind slasher villain instead of the bumbling scared moron who acted as muscle for the cook
>Sally came back as le epic badass because that's what Halloween 2018 did
If you like this movie you're just a braindead horror consoomer who doesn't like or respect the original film
And yet you'll probably defend the sequels.
I like Texas Chainsaw 2 as an intentional shitpost, but no, the only truly great movie is the original
I don't think anyone argues that so it's a mute point.
Did I get filtered? I didn't like the first one at all ( I haven't watched the others either). The fat disabled guy ( seemingly 35 year old who aged really badly playing a teen?) was so fricking annoying that the first half of the film was horrible to get through. The moment he got killed the film was far far far more enjoyable. I liked the killer though. But the fat teen absolutely ruined it.
>the only truly great movie is the original
You guys got filetered hard. Not only 2 is a perfect sequel to the original but also the 2003 TCM remake and its prequel TCM The Beginning are kino of the highest order.
>e 2003 TCM remake and its prequel TCM The Beginning are kino of the highest order.
Wrong. They were forgettable garbage.
>Prime Jessica Biel as the 2003 remake MC
>Prime Jordana Brewster as the prequel MC
>Prime Diora Baird is also in the prequel
>R. Lee Ermey being the most based villain in the history of cinema in both movies
>Leatherface actually being threatening for the first and last time
>Hewitt farmhouse > Sawyer farmhouse
>Each one of the other teenagers have their own personality and motivations to the point they could easily have their own spin-off.
>The remake was so kino that it spawned several graphic novels from Wildstorm which are composed by prequels and sequels so we can see what happened before the movies and also what happens afterwards ranging from the 1970s until the 2000s. The originals never came close to having this level of extended universe content.
They are the ultimate pleb filter. Only low test basedboys hate them.
dude it had PRIME women it made me HORNY that means its GOOD!
actually being threatening for the first and last time
please fricking have a nice day
You are forgettable garbage if you actually believe this
I watched the 2003 remake in January and it was really good, easily one of the best horror remakes I've ever seen.
Is the prequel any good?
CGI gore
Yeah well, every movie is doint this so there's not much we can do about it
't look anything like Texas
Looks way better than any of the settings from TCM3 and TCM4. So overall it's an improvement.
OWN DA LIBS social commentary
Based
slasher villain
Keep in mind that the rest of his family is dead. He's alone now. And older. And angrier since they "kill" his caretaker. So it's not unbelievable for Leatherface to behave in a slightly different way since he is dealing with a different situation. Besides he never really acts ooc. He's still the same brute moron he has always been.
came back as le epic badass because that's what Halloween 2018 did
Way better than sinking into catatonia or just dying off-screen. They finally gave her character some well-deserved justice.
I agree it's not a fricking masterpiece but it's a decent sequel.
People forget about how part 3 was literally filmed outside LA, telling everyone it was Texas.
3 is so lame i don't get why people like it
>They finally gave her character some well-deserved justice.
By getting killed immediately and looking like a moron?
For real, imagine sitting around for 50 yrs, finally getting the call them your character is coming back.... set her up to be some fricking Sarah Connor/Laurie Strode b***h from hell
>she dies within minutes of coming face to face w Leatherface again
It's even worse.
It's not even the same actress
Netflix films CANNOT have soul unless they contain Peewee Herman or Martin Scorsese
Wait, really????? I didn't fricking know that! Holy Shit!!!!!
OG Sally's actress died on 2014
It's fricking Leatherface. Of course they're gonna make her lose against the mascot of the franchise. morons.
Because the original actress passed away in 2013. By justice, I mean they gave the character of Sally Hardesty a warrior's death. Which is far better than just killing her off-screen in the introductory narration like the rest of the other movies did.
She was reshot and added last minute. She has no similarities beyond name
She wasn't even a good character originally
Never thought I'd see the day people defend Netflix slop like this. I have to assume it is because of some moronic political shit
Never watched these
Who is the cook?
Do you want like a full backstory or what? He's just a character from the original TCM movies. I believe his name is Drayton Sawyer.
Yeah, that’d be nice actually
I like hearing people talk about films they like 🙂
>respect the original film
lmao it's a horror movie you homosexual that shit is all for subhuman plebs
>gets filtered by horrorkino
>posts shitty reaction image
checks out
I liked it. I need more movies where I watch libtards gets killed. It needs to be more brutal though.
>I need more movies where I watch libtards gets killed
Try The Green Inferno
I also had a good laugh at Bodies Bodies Bodies... kind of a hilarious look at zoomer culture in horror
This was totally okay. Just not really genius or truly outstanding in any regard.
Think it just had too much stupid studio baggage, like the school shooting plot or the cameo of the old lady, holding it down.
The only thing I really didn't like was that Sally came back after 50 years. She gets there and doesn't kill him right away then she dies herself. Fricking stupid. Other than that the movie was good. Leatherface killing the zoom zoom influencers was fricking great.
>Doesn't retcon the original trilogy
Leatherface fricking died in Texas Chainsaw 2. Every movie after has been a retcon. This anon is a lying Netflix shill.
>Leatherface fricking died in Texas Chainsaw 2
Nobody ever mentions how this fricked up the continuity of the series. Every sequel after 2 is another soft reboot that ignores the other and follows the first movie.
Because anyone who pretends like anything but the Tobe Hooper movies are worth anything are studio cumslurpers
I really liked it. It's a best case scenario considering all the things you can't do or say in current year. My only complaint was giving Leatherface superpowers by reviving him at the end, which immediately stopped bothering me when he lopped that silly c**ts head off as a fricking self driving tesla takes the other person away.
>My only complaint was giving Leatherface superpowers by reviving him at the end
Really did not get this. Bubba was supossed to be a strong but still normal human being.
Guy tanked shotgun shots in the chest as if he was Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees.
>Doesn't retcon the original trilogy
It does though, they did the same as the 2018 Halloween where nothing except the OG movie was canon.
I personally think this movie was alright specially compared to the latest content Leatherface had but Sally's return was complete unnecesary and the protagonists are just hateable.
But at least that bringed me satisfaction when this fricking b***h died
>bringed me satisfaction when this fricking b***h died
Was this actually written by Chop Top?
You sound inbred.
I agree though, very very garbage film
Give me a fricking break, I just came from playing football and my balls are fricking sweaty.
LICK MY PLATE YOU DOG DICK
there is that many leatherface movies I don't know what canon it is. if it's a sequel to the original it does not make sense because he'd be too old.
I saw the first four movies and the remake. 3 and 4 had nothing to do with the first 2.
I didn't hate it per se, but it's inferior to TCM 1 and the 2 movies in the remake timeline. Everything else is skippable.
>inb4 TCM 2 enthusiasts
The only sequel in the original timeline I liked was Next Generation, the third act gets so fricking insane you just can't look away
>it's inferior to TCM 1 and the 2 movies in the remake timeline
Of course it is. TCM1 and the 2003 remake timeline movies are the GOAT. But that also includes TCM2. In fact, if you read the sequel comics from the remake timeline, they remake the storyline from TCM2 into an equivalent sequel for the remake timeline. It's a fun read.
Part 2 was so gimmicky and just bad. It wasn't hard-core, it wasn't scary, it wasn't even funny. It just felt cringe and shitty. Even as a kid I always hated that shit.
TCM2 is one of the funniest comedy horrors ever. It mogs Evil Dead 2 for example
See I always hated that 80s "let's try to make these horror movies comedies" tropes... Army if Darkness was the only real good one. ED2 could have been good if half the damn movie wasn't a rehash of the original.
>It just felt cringe and shitty. Even as a kid I always hated that shit.
Let me guess, you're on the spectrum and have a hard time understanding jokes. The movie was hilarious. Not quite as a comedy but more of a self-deprecating take that comes off as an honest satire that laughs at itself. It was the perfect approach for a sequel because it was impossible to recreate the simplicity of the original.
Not at all, it just had no place in the series. You can't even make a case for it like evil dead 2, where the original had comic elements, and you just played off of that. This story was never meant to be some satire bullshit. Chop Top (as much as I live Bill Mosley and have actually met him) was an outrageously over the top character, and it felt hamfisted to replace the hitchhiker. The sheriff was another just over the top characterisation that just made no real sense. The killings weren't entertaining, the plot was basic as frick, and the comedy wasn't fitting to the content. They would have been better making it a standalone movie without Leatherface or the cook.
>it just had no place in the series
It had the perfect place as a sequel. Sequels don't have and shouldn't have to repeat the exact same shit all the time.
>You can't even make a case for it like evil dead 2, where the original had comic elements, and you just played off of that
Autistic reasoning. Again, sequels should introduce something new, not fall in stagnation. Life is not a straight infinite line.
>This story was never meant to be some satire bullshit
Again with the same moronic reasoning. Nothing is really meant to be anything. You lack the basic amount of creativity to create or appreciate art.
>over the top characterisation
That's the beauty of it, moron.
>The killings weren't entertaining
>the plot was basic as frick
You could say the same things about the original
>the comedy wasn't fitting to the content
Now you're just doing mental gymnastics. Every joke had an exact reason to be there.
>They would have been better making it a standalone movie without Leatherface or the cook.
Try saying the same about the original. Exactly, that's what I thought.
You have no actual argument that supports the idea of the movie being "bad" except for your own personal biased perception of the movie and art in general.
Jesus Christ, captain Autismo over here.
I think you summed it up with your last line
> it is my own opinion, as is it yours to worship it
There's no fricking rules or ratings to guage it by, I feel that it is overrated as frick, the comedy sucks and has no place in the series... you feel the opposite... good for you.
>There's no fricking rules or ratings to guage it by
Yeah, can't disagree with you on that. Who cares, tbqh.
You unironically got filtered by the man himself.
> Even as a kid
You never grew up
It was unintentionally hilarious
It's good, but only ironically. I enjoyed it but nothing can beat the first.
It looks like shit and isn't scary.
>texas chainsaw massacre
>filmed in bulgaria
One of the worst horror movies I've seen, and I've seen a lot of trash. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a finished franchise.
Kek he admitted to being a teenager
>admitted
Reading comprehension: Below average.
