It's been airing for nearly a decade, and it's outlived all of its competitors, both new and old. It got a movie that sold well and was liked by both critics and casual audiences. What went so fricking right?

They spammed it all the time, it was not a sincere success.
>t.mrenter
>If you don’t like something that mr enter doesn’t like you’re literally just like him
Not even mentioning that it was arguably the start of every major animation network devolving into toddler shit without any edge or soul
Shut up Mr Enter
Enter has never advocated for Edge
Why the frick do homosexuals on the site obsess over a literal fricking autist? An actual certified non-meme literal fricking autist? Suck my wiener you e-celeb homosexual.
This. They were giving it commercials and promotions months before premiere, and multiple reruns right afterwards. Compared to how much "effort" they put in beware the Batman, another DC cartoon that premiered only a few months later.
They only spammed it after it became successful.
Nope. They aired the first two episodes often during the premiere week and it got worse as they got more episodes to spam afterwards.
Lowest common denominator show
You mean children?
They spammed it hardcore as soon as it premiered
Its big, recognizable as an IP, cheap to make and did well with the target audience. Astoundingly so, going by how many motherfrickers seethed about its premiere and continue to seethe about it today. I believe its a mixture of brand recognizability, reception, and repetition by the network. Its a suit's best friend.
>dumb fun
>non-serialized
>cater to the main audience (children and not man children)
>sells toys
>doesn't spend episodes talking about background randos
This. Kids don't give a shit about overarching plots, relationship drama, or gay representation. They're just here for the silly characters and jokes and TTG is the not only one of the only few dumb fun cartoons where you can afford to skip countless episodes and miss next to nothing that was released in the 2010s, it was also the most successful and famous of those cartoons.
Yeah, and? Kids are moronic
>makes use of an in-house intellectual property
>affordable animation
>kids watch it
>writing isn't bad
>showrunners likely aren't grooming anyone, unlike sucrose
>it can be funny
>Kids show
>Caters to Kids
>doesn't try to take itself seriously with plot just easygoing fun
>isn't a hidden therapy session or self insert for man children writers politcal beliefs and real life issues
Gee I wonder why Cartoon Network caters to their main audience instead of Cartoon morons who are stuck living in the early 2000s
How popular is it really? Cartoon Network is a distant third place in the ratings
They take all the schedule of CN.
