Abe was a far-right, ultra-capitalist, war crime denier who hated the Chinese and the Koreans with a burning passion. If that's "Liberal" to anybody ITT then Universal Healthcare must be pretty right-wing.

Nobody owns a goddamn PS5. You still can't just find those things just sitting in stores.
      >But it was on Ps4 though
Well maybe they should've marketed it being on PS4 a little more cause I didn't even know that. Now my PS4 is dead and for some dumb reason, people are still charging an arm and a leg for a new one.
That and it's pretty much DLC masked as a full separate game for a full price.

Swear, at this point I truly believe Sony artificially limiting the supplies to increase demand.

I got one last month. Literally broke down on me less than 18 hours later though. Apparently, Sony's been in such a rush to get units out, they've been a little slapdash with quality control and a whole bunch of machines shipped with either faulty PSUs or ones prone to failure. Either way, I got one at 4pm, played it all day, went to bed, woke up, switched it on and it wouldn't turn on. Got it fixed, but that was a shitshow.

            Well shit.
I was thinking it was maybe time to save up for one so I could have it for God of War but maybe I should give it another year after all.

I'd wait until the end of the year at least. It's been kept out of the news for the most part, but if you look around, there's a lot of people saying their machines broke down within three months of getting them. I got mine repaired via Sony, but the tracker they use to keep you informed of repairs hasn't worked since at least January and when I asked if/how they'd contact me to let me know when my repair was done, all I got was repeated automated responses telling me it would be 10-15 days from receipt of the console. Several emails stated that point three or four times. Eventually, three days and 20 emails later, someone said I'd be informed by the shipping company 24 hours before the console was due to be returned. Except I wasn't and it just showed up out of the blue one evening. The whole situation is a shitshow and, while I don't expect it to get better any time soon, I'd sincerely recommend doing whatever you could to save yourself the misery.

    Hear me out
    Maybe
    Just maybe
Videogames with black protagonists don't do very well because they don't represent the same background as not just the average videogame consumer, but especially the average single-player videogame consumer.
Racelift characters are brazenly touted as attempts to appeal to a new demographic born from the idea that those demographics can't enjoy a piece of media unless they feel they are represented.
Perhaps somewhere in the average consumer is the innate knowledge that support for miles is support for trying to erase Peter for his inherently anti-diverse skin tone.

Or it is just because the game is a borderline asset flip of the last one with more hamfisted levels of woke in it outside of who the protagonist is.

But Miles has outsold every previous Spider-man game? and that was before they stopped counting sales at 7 million units 3 years ago. The latest total Insomni released was a combined 33 million copies which they announced before the port to PC. even screw those numbers heavily in PS4 Parker's favor you're still looking at roughly 12 to 15 million unites sold for Miles. That's unheard of for a character made with in 10 years. By any metric he's a success. You're gonna have to cope.

Are you moronic? a Game selling a million units is considered a success. A lot of assets and the map of Manhattan was reused for the game reducing costs. Because it came out for the PS5 in an era where no one could get a PS5. Sure you could get it for PS4 but all the marketing/reviews kept telling everyone that PS4 was inferior so people just kept waiting on PS5's that were unavailable. Also maybe I'm remembering wrong but I recall a bunch of reviews saying the game was short so I bet a bunch of people probably didn't get it because they were gonna hold out for some ultimate edition where Miles got packed in with the first game.

I'm basing this entirely on myself because that's what happened to me
