Why did people hate this movie? I remember when it came out a lot of people criticized it. But after watching it, it just feels like a well paced sci-fi action thriller. The protagonist and deuteragonist are likeable along with the woman the protagonist is trying to save. Her subplot didn't take away from the main plot.
Rating: 4/6
The backwards scenes look a little silly at times other than that it's solid
The plot and characters are shit. It's a confusing stupid mess held together by a dumb gimmick. Nolan is sloppy and lazy and this movie shows it off more than any other.
The backwards scenes are specifically the category it won an Oscar for.
I got lost early and never got back on track. I need to rewatch it closely.
I was watching the movie with my mother and she was talking to me about something during the first scene where he's talking to the Indian woman. I later rewatched it and found out that if I had been paying attention during that scene I would have been a lot less confused about the things that happened afterwards. This is one of those movies where you cannot afford to miss anything.
Pattinson and Debicki were the only good things about it
>black FBI agents
im sorry i was Black person and i couldt self insert 🙂
The final battle doesn't seem to have any enemies but there are explosions and gunfire everywhere?
All the soldiers in white are enemies.
>Why did people hate this movie?
Two reasons
>A)
The fricking sound is awful! It's mixed so loud that it's effectively unintelligible during a really good percentage of the movie's action scenes. But also
>B)
The same thing all of his more recent movies have suffered from which is literally this:

Holy shit, that video nails how crappy Nolan does exposition.
I've actually never had trouble understanding the dialogue in Nolan films, because by the time I watch them, they're already on streaming and I have subtitles on so I don't miss any dialogue. Which is ironic because Nolan is specifically one of those "You have to see it in the theater or you're not seeing it!" idiots, but seeing his movies in the theater is the worst way to watch one of his movies.
I'm told there are theaters where you can get subtitles for the movie, but I still don't enjoy going to movie theaters so I don't care.
>You have to see it in the theater or you're not seeing it!
This is actually true for Nolan, you didn't experience the film.
Yeah, I don't give a frick what you think. Happy new year.
Understanding the story perfectly on the first go on a small screen is honestly utterly worthless compared to seeing it on IMAX film stock, even if you leave the theater utterly confused. The theater goer can always brush up later.

>Christopher Nolan solved that exposition problem by making the dialogue in Tenet totally inaudible. Such a genius
kek. Bravo Nolan.
People wanted to be baby-fed and mollycoddled the whole way through like a Marvel movie.
Critical Drinker said it best: It's not Nolan at his best, but Nolan at his most.
Critical Drinker has never said anything best in his entire life.
Took me 5 seconds to hate that guy.
Black person
The main character was chosen for his skin color and everybody was too afraid of black riots to tell him maybe he should try memorizing his lines rather than grumpily reading them off cue cards.
Endless exposition that's hard to hear due to the shit audio mix. Gave me a headache worse than the one I got from Avatar 3D or Man of Steel. There was only one character moment and it was when Denzel's kid asked for hot sauce. Awful movie I never want to watch it again and I like all the rest of Nolan's movies.
Nolan is super overrated. This is actually one of his better movies.
Memento is the only great one.
Inception and Interstellar were shit.
>Today is opposite day!
No, you just have dogshit taste, batmanbrain.
I remember hearing people say Inception was "confusing" when it was released. If certain audiences couldn't parse Inception then Tenet never had a chance.
