>the prequels were always good! >kingdom of the crystal skull was always good! >amazing spiderman 2 was good!
Someday gen alphas are going to make threads about the star wars sequels being good
>first 10 minutes of the film >high school graduation >Gwen Stacy gives a speech about death and dying and moving on after loss of a loved one
sometimes foreshadowing is subtle.
There was still alot of comparisons at the time to the Raimi movies and the fact that the Amazing movies were made partly for the sake of keeping rights to the IP.
because... it was?
it just sucked compared to the first 1... but overall the amazing franchise was having a tough time competing with the raimi films in every element; story, characters (especially the villains), casting, music, and drama... hell even the raimi costume is timeless
i would also like to add the change by raimi to make webbing organic makes hell of a lot more sense
you don't HAVE to make peter develop web-shooters to showcase his intellect, you can do that in a myriad of other ways
with peters focus in school getting him normans respect, in university getting him to be top of the class when he put his mind to it and his meeting with doctor octavius acknowledging his brilliance as well
Amazing because the scene in the first one where he gives the kid the courage to climb out of the hanging car by letting him wear his mask is more Spider-Man than anything the Home movies did.
>end of first movie >tee hee her dad doesn't want me to see her but I will anyway >beginning of second movie >NO WE HAVE TO BREAK UP IT'S TOO DANGEROUS WAHHHHH
It's like the writers of 2 didn't even watch 1
After playing the PS4 game with the first movie's suit I actually warmed up to it and preferred it to the second movie one. I still like the second one tho, it's the most accurate by far
I didn't care for ASMI or II. I respect Garfield as an actor but him and stone on the balcony and stone's cringe acting during the kiss scene completely killed the film for me.
>bad electro design >dubstep >entire oscorp is corrupt with every business man in it being straight up evil >wacky german oscorp scientist wants to torture electro for fun? >harry shows up out of nowhere and had never been mentioned before, peter and harry do not seem like old friends at all comes off as forced and cringe >harry actor is awful and ugly >norman dies from goblin disease as an old adult but it's bad enough for harry he needs to address it now? >entire green goblin arc is forced and tacked on, he just shows up randomly after electro dies as an encore villain >peter's dad has a secret train base with moving platforms in an abandoned subway tunnel >electro motivation makes no sense, goes from being a huge spiderman fan to turning into a monster that spiderman remembers and tries to help, then suddenly it's I WANT A WORLD WITHOUT SPIDERMAN
These are some issues off the top of my head.
Jesus Christ. This is really how they made him look? I've only seen the first ASM and it was shit. I've heard the sequel is even worse so I've never bothered to watch it.
I'd say it's worth a watch if just to sift through the blender of bad ideas.
Nearly every character is executed worse than you could probably think right now if you tried. Like right now, just make up a version of "normal" Electro before he gets his powers but make it deliberately stupid. Then compare. Same with Rhino.

The best part is after he transforms into a full on ugly goblin creature, the next scene you see him he's back to normal with normal hair and teeth.
He says >it comes and goes
Jamie fox forever ruined this fricking movie. If he wasn't electro I would have liked this film and probably rewatched it. But I've only seen it once and will keep it that way
Yidsney shills had to psyop the public to convince them a marvel buyout/reboot was a good thing. People seemed to mindlessly forget that this movie was intended to have a sequel, so all the buildup that was established in this movie was going to be payed off later. They hated it when this love came out but than dick rode marvel movies for years which was essentially the same thing ramped up 1000x and called it "hype".
it's horrible
Is this the most famous line to never exist?
Just when I thought I'd remembered the true scope of ASM2's stupidity. Was this ever a plotline that was totally edited out or just trailerbait?
They cut out Shailene Woodleys scenes as MJ. But I guess its k to make Gwen his one and only

Why do people pretend the Garfield movies were good after “le hecking THREE spider mans??”

sometimes foreshadowing is subtle.
It was foreshadowing but when you first watch it you would interpret it as a thematic reference to uncle Ben.
I usually avoid garbage but I got tricked into seeing this

You have 5 seconds:
Home or Amazing movies?
Amazing because at least Garfield and Emma Stone have good chemistry.
Amazing because the scene in the first one where he gives the kid the courage to climb out of the hanging car by letting him wear his mask is more Spider-Man than anything the Home movies did.
No

It had the best spidey suit. I’ll give it that
After playing the PS4 game with the first movie's suit I actually warmed up to it and preferred it to the second movie one. I still like the second one tho, it's the most accurate by far

I like to think that some random Sony producer picked Marc Webb to direct those movies only because of his last name and nothing else
>Thought the first ASM was shit
>Took until the sequel for everyone else to turn on it
Patriciian taste fren
>Recycle 90% of the Raimi movie but worse
>"How can we make Spider-Man an unlikable butthole"
>Patrician taste
Go frick yourself
He's saying he DIDN'T like it, moron.

YU R A FROD, SPIDER-MAN

I mean, as far as Spider-Man movies go it's one of the better ones, but that isn't saying much.
Jamie fox forever ruined this fricking movie. If he wasn't electro I would have liked this film and probably rewatched it. But I've only seen it once and will keep it that way

Watch this movie if you want to appreciate Spider-man 3 more. ASM2 couldn't juggle multiple villains at all while SM3 practically did it masterfully.
SP3 was a disappointment but still a pretty decently directed and edited film.
