That's even worse. Four seasons is fricking crazy for your average kids cartoon, no reason to not assume that all you're gonna get and complete the story with what you're given.
>Finish Infinity Train
So this franchise got a batch order of 4 seasons from the start, something so rare that most new show-runners would kill for, and they didn't even think about giving the franchise a proper sendoff in case they didn't get renewed beyond 4 seasons?
Likely keeping things loose-ended just so they could continue milking the franchise? That's fricking stupid.
Most cartoons aren't even lucky enough to get beyond their first season.
Well each "season is pretty short" so is less that it got 4 seasons and more they ordered the average number of episodes for a normal seasons and divided it in 4 stories.
Four seasons was enough to finish things up, leave a few questions laying around for any miracle extension to pick up, and call it a wrap. It was dumb of them to assume they'd be allowed 8 seasons.
It wasn't renewed in the first place. The first four seasons were all ordered together.

Infinity Train's a weird show to complain about this because it doesn't really have an overarching narrative. Each season has its own story. They're all in the same continuity and cross over sometimes, but that's about it. Its cancellation was more about whatever ideas Owen Dennis and co. had for the show.
Except Book 3 blatantly ends with two major characters having no resolution because it's saved for another season.
They could have resolved it in S4, but they were actually pussies and didn't want to make another "intense" season after last time. So they made the most boring season nobody ever talks about and the show died with that unresolved.
Had they done an Amelia/Hazel story for S4, most fans would have been satisfied. They'd still ask for more, but as a product it would have gone full circle. Instead, the pretentious buttholes really thought they were getting 8 seasons in the middle of an animation industry crisis. The level of delusion you have to be to actually believe you were ever gonna get this is insane.
Now they're working on among us and fairy odd parents. Maybe those will get 8 seasons lmao.
Good point, however I think getting rid of something in a show is easier that re-starting the production of a whole new show. Also the Apu thing had a viral and inflammatory documentary, infinity train had 1 tweet.
>I guess you've got no choice now but to watch Infinity Train.
New IPs are cool and all, but based off what I heard about Infinity Train, I'm not sure I'll like it.
First, the episode length is a bit too short for my liking. It might have made the show easier to write, but that short of an episode length seems better suited for episodic shows like those old Disney, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Fleischers stuff.
Second, I conflicted over the premise of the main characters (MC's) being swapped out with each season. On one hand, the idea of switching main characters each season seem like an interesting idea on paper. But on the other hand, I feel it works better for episodic shows like The Twilight Zone, The Alfred Hitchwiener Show, Goosebumps, or the previously mentioned theater shorts than shows with ongoing plots across multiple episodes.
On a positive note, at least Infinity Train's art style look better than other recent shows from the past ten years or so (Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Baby Shark's Big Show!, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Craig of the Creek, We Bare Bears).
Is this an edit or an actual scene from the show?
>Is this an edit or an actual scene from the show?
Now that I think about it, it wouldn't surprise me if this pic was an edit. that exact image didn't pop up in any of the reverse image searches I've done.

It is incredibly overrated and has some annoying story decisions, but it's alright. If you like shows with horror and drama then this has some of that, it's not well polished but it's there. Season 3 is really bad and the show overall is better if you skip it, but the buff lady everyone cooms over is in that season, so take your pick.
For all the hype about how "creative" it is and how it's totally a good new IP, I noticed that nobody ever does their own infinity train OCs or fan comics where their characters are on the train. I'm sure there are some, but most of the fandom discussion is on the content from the series, mostly books 1 and 2. It's kinda telling that the show butchered a lot of its premise that the fans only gravitate to drawing the same characters and ships.
I've seen more creative fan work in Monkie Kid fans than Infinity Train fans.
Twitter, like every other social network and community (including Cinemaphile), inflates their own numbers and perceived influence.
Frick writing campaigns. These people had up until the end of 2023 to buy Infinity Train from iTunes. They should have done that. Everyone knows money is the only thing companies understand, so it's your own problem if you refuse to speak in their language.
cause I don't care about infinity train
This, and anything I don't care about should not and will not be given a second chance.
The third and fourth seasons kind of sucked.
I dropped it after season 1.
I hate Amelia and her story is explained enough already
Because twitter trends mean jack shit
What about the snyder cut movement?
those people were all borderline active shooters and calming them down was unfortunately a moral imperative
So the industry bowed to its customers and not the other way around? Good, as it should be.
They meant something before market researchers figured out they don't 1-1 to actual engagement with or purchase of the product.

When a season is 10 11-minute episodes, not really.

It's four seasons only in name, the total runtime is barely the equivalent of a full season of 30 minute episodes.
Four seasons was enough to finish things up, leave a few questions laying around for any miracle extension to pick up, and call it a wrap. It was dumb of them to assume they'd be allowed 8 seasons.

No frick it, I rather wanna see the Litterbox Comics project starting.
Agreed infinity train peaked at season 2.
When has a campaign actually worked?
OH getting rid of Apu.
Good point, however I think getting rid of something in a show is easier that re-starting the production of a whole new show. Also the Apu thing had a viral and inflammatory documentary, infinity train had 1 tweet.
That's an extremely obnoxious way to visualize wanting to trend something. It makes me glad I didn't even hear about it let alone partake in it.
Internet campaigns are pretty much meaningless and even less so for fanbases trying to force corporations to make decisions that cost money.
The conductor gilf was so fine

Network executives don't pay attention to fans b***hing online
There was campaign?
