Why did the film fail to attract female audiences?

Literally no woman care about it, I was in the theater and there was a lady with her son, a boomer with a friend and two guys, literally no single woman or group of women, why did it fail to appel females?

women only show up in droves if there's a possibility of "owning men" or making a point. this thing, where it's just a new characters that are all women, there are no pissed off dudes that women can salt the wounds with. dudes just don't give 2 fricks so neither do women.
and the reason why women don't care about it without all the external reasons above?

This. I dated a girl who was so comically into capeshit, she would have been relentlessly mocked were she a guy rather than a semi-attractive female. Obsessed over Captain America to the point where she had a CA pajama onesie, bed sheets, steering wheel cover, etc etc.

Women will watch anything as long as it has some appeal to them. I was forced to go along to Aquaman as a work thing and the girls loved it cos Jason Mamoa made them wet. Women don’t get anything out of a bunch of women girlbossing all over the screen. That’s just a vocal minority who push that and even they don’t really enjoy watching it. They just think it needs to exist to address power imbalances or some shit. TLDR: women don’t enjoy watching other women pretending to be men.

Women tend to prefer super hero movies with men. They'd rather imagine going on a journey with Jason Momoa than being Brie Larson.

Ironically that LEGO study I heard about contextualisises all of this. Psychologically, boys and men want to BE a hero/figure or whoever they enjoy or play with in terms of items or characters. So men enjoy imagining being someone else or in their position.

Women want the item or character to be SHAPED BY THEM. So they like to imagine being WITH someone to call them their own/control.

          >inb4 women are control freaks

Survival. Adopt and shale the strongest man to protect you and your future kids. To women, mates and mate choice are life or death. Fantasize about the mate being hot , sexy and strong. Other women don't do that for them, especially those imitating men.

More and more you realize Hollywood movies are made by a committee for a reason. Aquaman has an attractive man and woman go on an adventure. It was DC's first film to hit 1 billion. Hollywood understands this basic psychology and selling point to people and use it in their movies. The MCU is Disney trying to tell people what they want. As in you must want a female super hero team, right? It's the first time! It's a BIG DEAL, right?!! When women would prefer to see a movie where Brie Larson teams up with the Hulk or something.

I realise too that Disney's own film team are so brainwashed they are convinced their doctrine is right and flies in the face of BASIC HUMAN INSTINCT.

When willbthey learn men AND women love sexy people and 99% of online voices, here too, are mentally ill social rejects?

Online voices arent the movie going audience. Most people don't post online about movies. 10m people see movies on opening weekends all the time, there's not 10m users logging in anywhere talking about those movies though.

That's the point. Its also why the video game industry and comic books in the west, ESG ponzy scheme withstanding, is in the toilet. They are indoctrinated by this new wave of PC brainwashing AND believe social media is representative of the majority.

I'd like to add gaming also has the added cross to bear about the devs and publishers going full draconian on in game chat over thin skinned c**ts that only recently(as in under the last decade) got into gaming.
Used to someone could call you a mayoass cracka and you could call them a double Black person and Brazilian laughed in the background and the game went on unimpeded. Now both players would be reported by a legitimate homosexual sitting quitely in the game just to report anyone for anything and a bot would ban both players and the Brazilian because it picked up "la Black" in some music the brbrbr was playing.
                >mfw devs are releasing online games that require teamwork with no ingame chat whatsoever and calling it a feature

                Anonymous

Chat and mic chat are a different and worse kettle of fish. Mainly due to mainstreaming them. Most people before last decade spent years in gaming in advance and grew thick skin. But now with more regular peolle coming in, the standards of behaviour are enforced.

Still i will admit, using ingame emotes to communicate on Ninty was restrictive but surprisingly fun. Plus being called a bastard, frick, c**t, Black person for an hour and a half in a STRATEGY game gets weary. Least FPS you can shoot them.

it's libshits pretending that there are no differences between men and women again, and therefor movies should reflect this or else it's an oppressive injustice somehow. There is also a pressure created by the ruling class to propagate these ideological views that weaken the host population they parasite off of.

Incentives-wise there isn't really a free market of ideas, and so stupid ideologies that are useful to the ruling class dominate within universities. Think of it as a joint relationship that political rulers have with intellectuals at universities, just like how monarchs used to have "court-intellectuals" who would suck up and try to justify the power of the monarch. It's still like that but more complicated and less overt. This has been the case for so long that most of the creatives who work for Disney and other companies have these stupid views like denying sex differences and feminism, because they went to university and wanted to conform to their peer group to get along with them. And that's how they get paid, because all other institutions both public and "private" were slowly molded by this corrupt incentive pressure over generations. The ruling state as an institution can be called sheep farmers, and the propagators of these ideologies are like sheep dogs. You should be able to see how this is self-perpetuating and gets stronger over time at the expense of the whole society of sheep victims who are duped or pressured to go along with it.

They keep insisting on doubling down on this ideological view just because they are crazy and intellectually craven sheep who want to go along with the system which has paid and privileged them. They act as though they can speak narratives into existence if they double down on them for long enough, but this isn't the case because it has already been going on for so long and yet women will still turnout for a feminine flick like barbie and ignore the marvels (somehow that is men's fault obviously).

It boils down to mediums of power attainment and expression through mass media. In most forms of popular media the core concept and idea that a movie centers in is power of its obtainable. For male targeted media, this often manifests in the conquering of the goal of desire for the male. This is usually a bad guy or a woman. From here it's usually depicting the struggle to obtain this goal or the consequences of this goal. For women, however, this is different. Women typically do not choose to struggle for material power and instead occupy their time playing social gambits for the attention and influence over their peers. This is usually to the exclusion of fighting or protecting a material goal, preferring to utilise already provided resources to the woman, usually obtained by a man. This is why female marketed film will often have women having to juggle multiple men vying for her attention, the relationships between people and general social manipulation. Sex, when present, is not a goal or struggle. It is a tool for social manipulation. Because of this, placing a female in a male role will never appeal to women. It's not their fantasy and never will be

Because the main producer Kevin Feige thinks that female characters who dress like Taylor Swift are outrageous, so the 5 super-powered women in the movie dress the same, with baggy Nascar mechanic outfits so they don't appeal to the female audience, women have to see someone hot like Taylor Swift, they feel good, but Kevin Feige doesn't know this basic thing about cinema, beauty sells tickets.

Low budget = need a tighter script and better characters to keep people interested. You think the current Disney writers can do that?

I feel bad for this movie flopping because of the cats. I want the cats to be happy and their movie to do well. I'm a 31 year old man. I feel guilty not seeing this only because of the cats. I only watch marvel goyslop because my dad is into it. I just want the cats to be okay. I feel sad that this movie will bomb and we will never see them again.

Woman are 90% of the time not an important audience,. You lose the male viewers, your movie flops

      Anonymous

I would amend this to "Women are 90% of the time not an important audience for male-dominated markets." When a movie is made from the ground-up for females, eg, musicals, then it does very well with females. But if it is trying to attract females to a male interest, eg comics, then it usually fails.

        Anonymous

And even those few made for women movies need a male audience-- musicals for instance often have a gay male audience

Women liked Barbie, she's feminine, wears sexy clothes, bikinis, goes to the beach, has a boyfriend, likes to be sexy, while Captain Marvel seems like a dyke dream writed by a gay man/producer of being a woman who dresses and acts like a man, everything that women hate the lack of femininity and sexuality that is also keeping women away from these films
