There's great episodes and shit episodes in every season of SU. The one thing you can say for sure is that the earlier episodes were better made on a technical level, but besides the hiatuses I would never say it got "bad". For every Onion Gang you get the Greg Space arc, Wanted and Diamond Days. Not to mention individual episodes like Monster Reunion, Mindful Education, Jungle moon etc.
I mean it's only right. Rebecca Sugar conspired with a bunch of her former crewmembers and Savino's sidepiece, Cheyenne Curtis, in an attempt to sabotage his show because it was BTFOing Steven Universe in the ratings. Now all of them are out of the industry but Savino's show is still on the air, printing him royalty money, whereas if he had still been on it he probably would've ended it around Lori moving out like he originally planned.
