Why did they call it "All New All Different" when 95% of it was literally just recycled and inferior versions of pre-existing ideas?

I believe it's an old Marvel phrase that was brought back. Also LOL at the supposed first native American superhero that never amounted to anything.
>I believe it's an old Marvel phrase that was brought back.
It is, it was for X-Men back in the 70s. 2010s Marvel has this habit of throwing around titles/taglines associated with other franchises to other franchises and not realizing that just dilutes things
I think part of what killed it was the attempted cancellation:

>right winger gets job
>gets cancelled for being right wing
These fricks need to get lives.
Are you serious because he's right wing and not anything he said himself or the fact he's a white man trying to write about a Native American ?
>the fact he's a white man trying to write about a Native American
Literally nothing wrong with this.
Marketing.
If comic readers were more wary of these gimmicks, cape comics might have been either long dead or unfricked by now.
Exactly. What, do you expect them to actually go "Just the same regurgitated crap you've consumed time and time again?"
Chief Apachi is DC?
Apach chief?
No it's Red Wolf.
Isn't Red Wolf being depicted like that a step backwards? You don't see BP chucking spears
Well they tried to update and zoomerize American Eagle, but that didn't amount to anything.
They took away his old model, threw on some denim and a white t-shirt and sent him trudging around being a monotone angry dick to everybody; that was the direction of the company at the time. Marvel tends to suck at modernization of classics.
I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel Studios requested that
I do, Marvel Studios has gone out of their way to have as little involvement with Marvel Comics as possible ever since the Story Group disbanded.
If that were completely true, Feige would've avoided using stuff from the ANAD era, and yet he still went ahead with using it
They'll use stuff but they don't make demands or actually give a shit what anyone there has to say. They just mine what's there for potential stories. That's how you get things like the comics multiverse guides calling the MCU Earth 199999 while the movies themselves say they're 616.
No, the thing is, anyone can see that ANAD was a commercial disaster. That Feige went ahead and used it tells me that these were things they requested Marvel Comics to do in the general sense. Like "we need a replacement for Iron Man, can you make a black female character for that?" That would explain why there was Lila Rhodes and Riri Williams in such a short time.
Plus I think the reason Lila Rhodes wasn't used is because of what happened in
She was created by Ales Kot, who led the cancellation attempt on Nathan Edmondson. Even if Marvel agreed with their stance this likely derailed plans
Wow look at all these interesting characters! And also Agent Coulson is here
"All-New All-homosexual All-Diverse Hire" Marvel you fricking white males.
I prefer Kamala Khan way over Carol Danvers.
Five of the people in that image are white males So I don't see how that's f****** over white men. Do you get angry any time of protagonist in a comic books not a white male ?
Huh
Cause they were trying to promise that Secret Wars changed things when really it turned out that they (mostly) continued where they left off pre-Secret Wars
The only real changes I remember were
>pushing the younger heroes like Kamala, Miles, and Sam onto the Avengers, which was a mistake for Kamala
>Iron Man no longer being Superior Iron Man without explanation
>Spider-Man being more Iron Man
And I can't remember what else
It was more bullshit and they've done it a dozen times before.
Was 2013 to 2023 the new worst decade in comics?
It's probably 2012 to 2022, and it did feel like the most unbearable decade of comics (and entertainment) for a lot of reasons.
The branding worked with All New X-Men the year prior.
But that's because All-New All-Different came from 70s X-Men
It's just Marvel trying to apply phrases from other franchises to other franchises and diluting its effectiveness
>1 grampa-man
>1 man in a suit
>4 fricking spiders
>1 ant
>1 panther
>1 wolf
>1 falcon
is this shit for real, is that the new team ?
No, it was just to promote the different titles at the time
The Avengers was Falcon, Iron Man, Vision, Miles, Kamala, Jane, and Sam Alexander
to sell more #001
I'm e-girlng at the random Indian
What's wrong with Kamala?
Her mom and dad came from Pakistan not India..
Only new character that came out of it was Robbie Reyes and sadly he only got one decent solo series and a season of AOS before they started shitting on him then handed him off to be butchered by Jason Aaron
That was worthwhile I mean
