Nobody watched it.
Anyone else dropped it when they inexplicably put in a flashback just to turn the cutie into a bawd?
She always was.
Probably for the best it was canceled. Inara was supposed to kill a bunch of reavers who rape her with the power of her diseased pussy.
Watching her seethe and respond to comments on tiktok about how she bogged herself with plastic surgery is hilarious.
I object to this she is bangin' hot and got a tasteful, appropriately-sized boob job
Why is that hilarious?
>Watching her seethe and respond to comments on tiktok about how she bogged herself with plastic surgery is hilarious.
clips pls?
Spotted the incel
no, I did not drop the show halfway through the best episode
FOX network executives have always been moronic homosexuals.
>FOX network executives have always been moronic homosexuals.
I remember them not showing new Futurama episodes due to baseball running long.
>Coming up next: a new Futurama!
>Coming up next: a new Futurama!
>Coming up next: a new Futurama!
>Coming up next: your late local news.
They did this with a Malcolm in the Middle episode as well
this show had everything, peak bruce, steampunk, sci-fi, time travel, a wonder horse and an actually based black man, what a time to be alive.
KINO
I
N
O
actually just started watching this last night on a whim, weird. pretty good imho. needed something after i had finished x-files for the 9th time.
this was so good, weirdly good like we were being rewarded for something
one hope I have for this generative AI stuff is to make new episodes of Brisco that are consistent and authentic to when the show last left off.
also kino forking Sliders around Season 3 when it turned to shit
new seasons of Sliders done by AI would be cool. it would sort of also follow the theme of we don't know what could happen.
Fox had a really bad habit of showing episodes out of order which made the plot hard to follow, and they frequently preempted their shows for live content like football games and kept running commercials saying the episode was "coming up right after the game" but then wouldn't actually air it until weeks later. Then when their ratings were low, they said it was because no one liked it, not because no one had any idea when it was actually going to appear on the screen.
Watching Futurama in 1999 was an exercise in frustration because most of the first season was preempted on the initial airings.
did the same shit with almost human, I know it happened at other networks as well, but fox always seemed to be the worst for this bullshit.
they aired the show out of order. the network was moronic.
Haruhi and Pulp Fiction were aired out of order and were huge successes. Firefly failed because it was gay, nothing to do with anything Fox did.
>Haruhi and Pulp Fiction
What the frick are you even talking about gay lmao
if it had been an actually good show, airing out of order wouldn't have mattered. it wasn't some serialized series where every ep directly led into the next. it was stand alone episodes with a little bit of an overall story. the "the episodes were aired out of order " is gigantic cope from the idiots who think this completely average show was the best thing ever
It wasn't just Firefly.
The fact he cited Futurama is a major case against that theory. A multi million dollar IP that's spanned decades before it finally ran out steam. It was cancelled by.... Fox.
It wasn't just aired out of order, it didn't keep a consistant time slot or schedule either, which was extremely important for viewership in that age before on-demand services.
Only soulless morons or snobs "above it all" would dislike Hercules or Xena.
Nah, frick AI slop. I'm sad it got cancelled, but I'm glad it existed and wouldn't want more just for the sake of it.
Black girl from Suits best girl. Morena and other chick simps btfo
Compared to the shit they churn out now-a-days, yeah this series was pretty wholesome.
But nobody liked it when it was aired because the episodes where confusing. It only became liked a few years later, and by then it was too late.
Joss Whedon did a follow up film a few years later to appease the fans. (Picrel).
I recon they could have gotten at least a few seasons out of it if they stuck with it.
>they aim to misbehave
Deserved to be canceled tbh
Quippy whedonisms hadn’t spread everywhere and caused fatigue yet. This was fine
It was definitely quip central and very heavyhanded at times but it had its merits. I actually really liked the virgin episode where the prostitute helps the 26 year old incel process his issues and grow as a person, probably made me sympathize with prostitutes more than anything.
I miss Glauposting.
Me too. Let's remedy that.
I wasn't here when SCC was airing, but I'm sure it was glorious.
Quite
Didn't she meet her husband at a con? There's hope for all of us, lads.
man that movie was shit, they could've done cool stuff with it and told the story of the black guy but instead they had a remake of one of the last episodes of the show, killed lovable characters that even if the movie had been a success they wouldn't have been able to continue the storyline. A loss all around.
The movie was shit because of Whedon's attitude more than any logical reason of writing or production.
cowered to the woke mob
Because it’s gay Chinese propaganda.
It's neo-Confederate apologia
Whedon basically confirmed this. And I loved it for that. I’m just surprised that Hollywood could put out anything like that in the 21st-century.
It really wasn't. Bad writing, bad casting, bad execution on a premise that could have been good.
Joss Whedon is a fricking hack.
I thought the writing was good
Me too. Good mix between seriousness, humour and action. Anyone can sit down and pick it apart, but overall I enjoyed it.
you liked xena and hercules too didnt you
Whedon was caught back stage splitting Summer Glau apart on his feminist wiener
After watching the movie Serenity, if this is what they planned then I'm glad it got cancelled.
the series aired before its time. if it aired today, it would become big. most people forget that tv shows were treated as expendable garbage before the sopranos and lost.
>if it aired today, it would become big
If it aired today, it'd be one of those streaming original series that makes a short term buzz but then gets forgotten within 12 months
If it aired around 2012, then it would've been big
Pretty much this.
Everything decent nowadays gets forgotten very fast. Or cancelled, so it would be the same outcome. Yeah I'm jaded.
>decent
If that's the highest praise it can garner, we're better off with it gone.
I wasn't talking about Firefly moron, I said "nowadays"
I really don't know why they thought a movie was the way to go after the dvd sales for the show were so big, instead of picking it up for more seasons after whedon had such a big success with buffy and angel running for years, but executives are moronic like that I guess.
Summer Glau.
1. It wasn't actually that good
2. Frick the South
>Watching her seethe and respond to comments on tiktok about how she bogged herself with plastic surgery is hilarious.
unironically israelites
It got a movie and a comic book or two. It could have been reimagined and turned into absolute dogshit in the second season like what they did to Human Target.
>It got a movie and a comic book or two.
Oh, it must be good then.
> It could have been reimagined and turned into absolute dogshit in the second season like what they did to Human Target.
It didn't need to be reimagined to be dogshit,
what are you, a bot or something? If you have an opinion, share it.
How's your reading comprehension?
It. Was. Shit.
why would you hide by replying to an unrelated post? Say it loud and proud, unless you think that's a boring nothing opinion
I definitively replied to a post posing a question.
Since that was confusing to you, I'll do it again.
It. Was. Shit.
You didn't answer the question though. You're not really replying to me right now. You're just stalling. What is the deal with people like you?
nta but you didnt ask a question. who are the poeple like you?
real posters. People who talk about things on boards. Not just smacking my keyboard for the noise. I've asked half a dozen questions but a real man would own up to that.
Back up, everyone! A real man is posting!
don't make me meme you
>anyone disagreeing with me isn't a real poster
you are a fricking homosexual
>shitposter gets called a shitposter
>nooo he's literally me, stop that!
eat shit.
Sure, buddy. He's the shitposter.
Die a hero, etc. I suppose your solution, since you're a different anon and morally superior, would be to respond once and BTFO shitposters irrevocably, then carry on with the thread. Maybe you can teach me your ways. I like the show too, it writes itself. "Getting canceled was good for it" midwits are the absolute worst, it would take at least 3 seasons to resolve just the plotlines they started.
>I said I DON'T read. Not can't. Your post doesn't meet my standards.
And he's the morally superior butthole?
>Nah, it doesn't look hidden to me. Looks loud and proud.
>It appears that you are the one trying to gain lost ground. it was shit is pretty easy to understand but your trying to muddy the waters so you dont come across as the butthole.
My comment was in response to this and I stand by it. You stand by nothing and admit nothing, eventually you'll run away.
Loud and proud then. What's your statement.
I could write a book about this little show. What do you want to talk about?
aaaand he pussies out
So you can turn my whole argument around, make it about me not giving my opinion in a straightforward fashion. You can do everything except post without irony. Again, what kind of person? As an aforementioned real person, I can do whatever I want. I can give an opinion without making it a mealy-mouthed retort to you, here goes:
Firefly is a great show. One of the best in a great era. It sets the bar for both character and setting driven storytelling.
tips fedora
It sets the bar? Does it? One of the best, eh?
Yes, you can give an opinion whenever you want. Doesn't mean your autistic screeching is correct.
you could write a book but you cant answer a question?
no u, retort bot. where's your substance
Read the thread.
and you can deflect forever. It's just weird. Am I the only one who finds it weird?
Apparently. You want to double down again about how you're the most cultured and your taste is the most refined?
You could just shut the frick up.
literal nonsense posts. Try ideas, try substance. Firefly good, whedon good.
weird that you dont even know what yure defending? I find that weird.
dont bother. hes a moron
> eventually you'll run away.
>he said while running away
Sounds like he said it loud and proud. Is >It. Was. Shit. confusing?
it's hidden in back-n-forth shitposting because as a standalone post it would look brain dead. Even he can't hit "send" on such a boring post as that
Nah, it doesn't look hidden to me. Looks loud and proud.
It appears that you are the one trying to gain lost ground. it was shit is pretty easy to understand but your trying to muddy the waters so you dont come across as the butthole.
I honestly don't know what you're talking about. I don't read fluff because people here aren't good at writing it. Ideas only please, as clear as you can make them.
So you admit your lack of reading comprehension
I said I DON'T read. Not can't. Your post doesn't meet my standards.
Bow before the connoisseur, everyone. We could all learn from him.
Ginger israelite raped all the younger actresses on set.
this show is painfully mediocre. ironically the only memorable thing about it its cancellation
less typey more thinky next time, ok?
truth hurts huh? no one gave two shits about it until it was cancelled then the few people who watched it and liked it threw a b***h fit online
I meant, if that were the only thing noteworthy about it, then every show canceled in S1 would be noteworthy. And I figured that would present some difficulties for you.
I enjoyed the underdog theme of the series, them doing what they have to to get by whilst being hindered or chased by the 'Alliance' (aka Space Government).
I'm glad it got canceled. We got a great movie to wrap it up and it didn't go to shit like all shows that run too long inevitably do.
>a great movie
Reddit didnt exist yet back then, so its prime fanbase wasnt a thing yet
I am genuinely surprised they haven't tried to bring it back already, it's gotta be coming up for being raped and destroyed, they're already scraping the bottom.
Everyone forgets Zac Efron played young simon
it was set up to fail
>no marketing
>episodes aired out of order
god only knows why you'd greenlight and spend money on something just to kick the legs out from under it at the last second.
The Expanse > Firefly > The Expanse without Miller
