They made at least two video games and an anthology movie with several stories including anime. That's plenty. It explained the back story, the story as seen from other ships in zion, and the story from other people who started to see falsities in the matrix. There doesn't need to be "countless". When the story is done and told, it is DONE. That's literally why Larry made Matrix 4 as dogshit as possible. Its because the ethos of hackers in the 90s lent itself to redpilling. That's why years later the skater punk kid breaks himself out of the matrix and becomes a fanboy of Neo, since the skater punk surge followed the hacker surge.
