Women don't care about superheroes but love Taylor Swift and Barbie.

      >Women don't care about superheroes but love Taylor Swift and Barbie.
Exactly. It's not that difficult. Barbie is a beloved toy brand for all women.
Women love Taylor Swift because she sings about issues women care about: mostly her relationships with men and her friendships with women.
Taylor Swift doesn't sing about politics or existentialism or philosophy. She sings about a bad breakup and her emotions.
Men and women are different and women in general don't find hero stories appealing. They just don't care about them at all.

Real answer, it’s because the MCU is riding off of a continuity that’s been beaten into the ground, the only way Marvel can be saved is if they make a new unaffiliated MCU and use it with the X-men and Fantastic Four, bury the Avengers and move on.

Also doesn’t help that every single marvel movie ties in with other movies and tv shows, people like standalone products more than tie-ins, even sequels pre-mcu were easy to watch on their own because motives and personalities weren’t tied to a plot mcguffin item or reality warping shit

They knew their audience and what they wanted. Disney does not.

Barbie was made for women and homosexuals and marketed towards women and homosexuals. It was a success.
The Marvels was made for women and homosexuals but marketed towards men and boys. It was a failure

I mean this is all true. Leftist men and women wish it wasn't true, but it's true.

Agreed, except about women not liking "hero stories". Plenty of women like Marvel in general, I've met quite a few that had seen every one of them, met another that was crazy about Logan, and on and on. Men obviously like them more, but the divide isn't as large as it is for say, war movies.

        >Agreed, except about women not liking "hero stories".
It's a male genre. Even The Marvels had men buying 63% of tickets!
Women in general don't care about superhero stories. Sure there will always be sperg women that care, but almost NO normie women care.
It's been the same in comic books as well for decades.
The Marvels had a lot of problems with it, but just marketing the movie to mostly women is just a dumb business decision.

You're defeating your own premise. You just said about 37% of the people buying tickets were female, so don't act like female viewers were some vanishingly thin slice of the pie.

The Marvels is a male oriented property converted into a female property by ideologues who just want to claim male territory. Women don’t want hand-me-down men’s franchises. They want their own originally built for women franchises.

Literally legs. And also most people who watched this were Marvel manchildren who watch every Disney show, most self-respecting women shouldn't do that.
