Everything about the show is moronic. They dont make traps, explosives or flame weapons, they also dont do anything to try to escape or even improve their defenses.

The original plan was to use BLOOD to kill monsters, but when they openened the dead monster they found no bloody liquids, only some bile. So they went with it.
