                Why's that

                Anonymous

I don't know what the consensus on it is. I think it's a really good Joker story and one of the better one-shots prominently featuring him, but I don't think it's one of the best Batman comics ever let alone one of the best cape-comic ever.

Moore did some really good shit with DC characters but it was all surface level appreciation of comics because he recognized that the best kind of super hero stories are just simple super hero stories. His stuff on Superman and Green Lantern was good too for example.

I can imagine pretentious homosexuals thinking that because he wrote V for Vendetta and Watchmen (and From Hell) that all of his works have sociopolitical commentary or are these deep meaningful pieces of literature, but that just isn't true. Moore can write very intellectual stuff but he isn't above writing a straightforward hero story for kids either.

                Anonymous

It's just that he's really good at it and his understanding of the medium and the characters really comes through. TKJ is also probably the most straightforward exploration of Batman and Joker's relationship.

Why can't you disneyshills just get over the movie? Grow up, homosexual. No one cares about the MCU anymore. Top Gun beat every single marvel movie this year.

Its not like I dislike the movie I'm just indifferent. If it was more streamlined and its dialog had been more consistent then it almost could've pulled of a Blade Runner type vibe.

It was a super boring Batman movie. That’s what happens when you write a mystery movie but it’s shit. At least with more action oriented movies, you can get away with some lackluster writing.

The dialogue is very cliche-ridden, full of rote phrases-- some of them outright ridiculous such as when Catwoman (talking about her vanished nightclubbing, adult prostitute roomie) states" she's only a kid!" or something like that

How the fact they completely wasted Falcone by turning him into cookie cutter psychopath.

"You think I want to do this. You're making me do this just like your mother"

        So fricking ham-fisted.

          Anonymous

Yes. There was no real mystery whatsoever except for the riddles. Even the Riddler himself just turns himself in, and the other culprit go through the motions until they're disposed of.

    I liked it.
I almost never go to theaters to watch movies, but I went to the theater to watch The Batman (before that, it was Joker).

The visuals and audio was quite good,
but there were a lot of parts of the movie that I did not care for:
    >livestream bits (cringe)
    >intro with the black kid and the chink (pure pozz)
    >riddler was done terribly
    >Robert Pattison's 'Bruce Wayne' pales in comparison to Christian Bale's 'Bruce Wayne' (Though I though Robert played 'Batman' better than Bale)

I hope the sequel is better, Cinemaphile just doesn't seem to really talk about movie that much so I thought it did poorly.

    The good
    >cinematography looks good
    >aesthetically seems inspired by BTAS
    >Gotham looks dark and gritty
    >the fight scenes are mostly cool
    >the cast do their jobs well, standouts are Dano, Pattinson, Wright and Farrell
    >there's an actual message of hope at the end to counteract the emo shit

    The bad
    >woke politics
    >Batman doesn't seem like a ninja/uses no stealth
    >film peaks at midpoint with the chase scene
    >tries to develop 5 characters at once while telling a mystery story
    >mystery is too spelled out
    >Pattinson is a bit too old to play young, emo year 2 Batman

I was really into it basically until the Riddler killed Falcone, but most everything past that was rough. I liked the paranoia of thinking Riddler knew his identity, and I like Batman being literally too autistic to tell Catwoman how he felt but that's it. I did actually quite like the deleted scene where he asks the Joker for his opinion on the murders. It should have stayed in IMO

Too long and needed better direction.
The story is ok and they picked a good actor for Batman.

I can't understand though why they made his highrise suite dingy.

because it didn't do anything memorable. No memorable music, no memorable characters, no memorable costumes, no memorable action scenes. Everything was just thrown in front of you like a bad waiter, "blah. Here's your food. Like it? I don't care."

Riddler me this. Why did Batman and Gordon let penguin go even though he just went on a highspeed chase killing people? Did Batman forget about the dead body in the trunk? Riddler exposes all the corruption in the city. So what the frick was Batman doing for 2 years? Did he not investigate who murdered his parents? Fricking why?

Riddler is a better Batman than Batman.
