Why did this make Bojack fans so butthurt? Brian in Family Guy is literally normal words but a dog guy, the joke goes both ways lol
Why did this make Bojack fans so butthurt? Brian in Family Guy is literally normal words but a dog guy, the joke goes both ways lol
Everyone called it out as Family Guy made that once again another animated show is given more attention and prestige. The midwits were the ones to interpret it as people being mad.
midwit take
the joke is that Peter has never seen bojack and is a dumb guy
bojack fans don't even like bojack so they just stopped watching after this
Please don't post that image. My therapist says that I can't come to this board anymore if I have to go back on my meds.
NORMAL WORDS
I remember watching this episode before it became a meme. See, nothing wrong with keeping up with recent seasons of these shows,
It wasn't that funny of a joke. Bojack is a better show than fg
maybe because it was meanspirited as frick???
literally bullying an entire (AND MUCH SMALLER!) fanbase just because one little criticism
were the fans actually mad or was it just the showrunner?
The fans were pretty upset and the showrunner tried to sue the makers of Family Guy and their parent company.
>Why did this make Bojack fans so butthurt?
it didn't
Remember that time Quag raped Marge and that was the whole joke, and Seth was mad no one saw his comedic genius
I always see people saying bojackgays were raging at this, but I never saw it myself. Did they really not like it? How weak.
I remember seeing some screencaps of twittergays seething at it, but I think that would be common of literally anything now a days
The writer literally got mad on twitter and coped/seethed at fg
sauce?
Any screenshots of bogays being butthurt?
I saw it once. They were really weak and sad about it. Sucks to be them, know what I mean?
>joke pokes fun of show
>creator spergs and a dozen or so twitter and reddit gays get upset like they would at anything
>Cinemaphile autist posts about it daily for years on end
you sound like a Redditor to me. Maybe you should just go back
Daily reminder the writers actually thought she was the likeable voice of reason
The reduction of Bojack to 'normal words but a horse-guy' was an attack on the earnestness with which Bojack fans treat the show, they seem to think Bojack is some sort of uniquely profound meditation on life, when really a thousand other works have approached and handled these themes similarly. The joke lampoons the use of a childish medium, animation, to deal with the adult themes present in the show, which fans think is some sort of epic juxtaposition, but in reality is the type of superficial subversion that only a first year film student is impressed by. The redditors who love Bojack are unable to articulate any of this, which makes their exposure as pseuds even funnier. Unironically these few seconds of Family Guy are more intelligent and ripe with meaning than anything Bojack ever did.
>this poster calling other people pseuds
>I'm upset by detailed analysis of Television & Film on Cinemaphile's Television & Film board
It's not a detailed analysis. You don't write about the show like you've even seen it. None of the video essays about Bojack are about the epic juxtaposition between the animation medium and the adult themes. Some of the most iconic episodes, like the underwater one is only capable in animation which shows a utilization and respect for the medium used.
You don't even understand the family guy joke. It's not an own on Bojack, it's literally about how Peter doesn't understand what Bojack is. A lady asks if he could do a Bojack parody, he says no until he finds out he gets to be a horse. It's literally about how Peter is stupid.
The very episode you're talking about does an epic juxtaposition about the fourth wall and TV show parodies, you literally are the pseud you claim others are
its simply a drama comedy with a bunch of animal jokes thrown in
diehard fans of anything are insufferable
They couldn't stand the fact that as crude and basic and low-hanging-fruit a cartoon as Family Guy had lampooned their sophisticated intellectual horse animation so simply and effectively that there was no comeback.
The joke is that Bojack fans are so insecure that they actually let this nothing joke live rent free in their heads instead of just brushing it off like they should have.
Do people really get mad at cartoons
Of course. Go take a peek on X (formerly Twitter) on the animation community. It's just an extension of tumblr + reddit; literal cancer.
Bojack fans are collectively reddit, so it makes sense they all b***hed in unison over a harmless jab.
Normal horse but words guy
people who get upset at others not liking/or making fun of stuff they like, usually invest a big part of their personality into said things, so when you tell them what they love sucks they feel personally attacked.
Kinda unrelated but Bojack Horseman isn't funny. Like, at all.
If anything it's depressing and stupid as hell and I was surprised at how many people liked it.
I had no idea what the context was of this, so I looked up the scene on Youtube and can confirm that the entire comments section is Bojack fans seething. That's frickin amazing, this is like easily one of the most innocuous Family Guy jokes ever made.
i don't watch family guy or bojack horseman but i know some people that talk about bojack horseman like it's some super high IQ drama tv program about depression, if that's the case i think it's pretty funny that they get so mad over a really stupid joke
