millenials consider themselves men. zoomers are trannies.
This movie not only sucks, it's fricking cringe. I'm 41 years old and not some kind of contrarian.
>"God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables, slaves with white collars, advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of the history man, no purpose or place, we have no Great war, no Great depression, our great war is a spiritual war, our great depression is our lives, we've been all raised by television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't and we're slowly learning that fact. and we're very very pissed off.”
I think the difference is zoomers do think they are fighting a great war. So the themes in this flick don't really resonate with them.
what war are zoomers fighting
the war against reality. thats why they do shit like troon out and claim Black folk are totally safe to be around and just like you and me.
schizo
>chops wiener off and worships a dindu nuffin like floyd
>calls anyone who notices this bizarre behavior a schizo
Inb4s dont work the way you think they do, youre just projecting.
nobody brought up any of these things, schizo, stop foaming at the mouth about it and take your pills
>doubling down
ywnbaw. Black folk are dangerous animals. sneed.
meds
Out of touch, zoomers are annoying alt-righters that are obsessed with Fight Club and any other anti-hero movie they can latch onto against all intended messaging (American Psycho, Nightcrawler, ...).
The troony zoomers are those groomed by millenials
American Psycho is about a narcissist schizo murderer.
Fight Club is about an insomniac fighting israeliteery for the greater good of humanity.
Nothing about them is comparable.
depends which zoomer. some think they are fighting some political war (liberal or conservative), some think they are fighting for human rights (trannies, BLM, Antifa, etc). I feel like zoomers feel a lot more empowered or something, but, who knows.
The ones given to them by people like Pelosi, Schumer, Biden and Kamala.
The ones that keep them focused on muh ebil whypipo and Drumph, while the elites continue to erode Western quality of life so they can buy another gold toilet for their megayachts.
Social justice is not possible without economic justice. If even the most humble jobs paid a living wage we wouldn't have the problems we do with crime, drugs, poverty etc.
Ever notice how it's rich people telling poor people to go to war against white people? Yeah.
You're confusing zoomers with millenials
You're confusing Cinemaphile with reality.
My super power is posting poorly drawn parody
shut up esl
The war against casting POC in movies
poignant observation, unironically
they're convinced the fight for pronoun equality is ww3
That's Millenials tbh but they think their great war is social justice shit, most zoomers are extremely doomerish and don't care about fighting for anything and just distract themselves with instant gratification entertainment, Fight Club was an extremely Gen X film and carried mostly their outlook on life.
Huh? Dude just make a thread about the movie.
>uhhh do uhhh like the zoomers like [most sucked off movie of all time}???
Yes I'm sure the zoomers have never heard of such obscure cult classics like fight club or bladerunner.
Same reason why millennials view Office Space as it's funny because it's relatable and zoomers make green text Office Space threads, you know the ones.
I don't necessarily mean that as a criticism of one or another, but zoomers typically I guess are more accepting of reality, and reality is that they don't have as many opportunities to get jobs that cover their day to day needs, survival maybe, but they have harder time to get to that "let's buy a house" level. Whereas millennials are still seeking alternatives for a better life in heart.
zoomer morons love this. it gets lumped in with american psycho, taxi driver and whiplash as a "sigma" movie. you know, the ones where an overly macho charismatic cool guy psychopath does whatever he wants
zoomers do not watch old media. They havent seen any of those movies.
zoomers have better access to old media than any previous generation moron
Access doesnt mean they use it. Watch who you call a moron, I'm not a mirror.
>Watch who you call a moron, I'm not a mirror.
what the frick is this middle school ass comeback LOOL fricking moron
>the ones where an overly macho charismatic cool guy psychopath does whatever he wants
This sounded exactly like a zoomer complaint.
You don't understand what zoomers are and neither do you understand the movies
as a zoomer, that is obviously my complaint, but most of my zoomer friends love sigma morons. i hope we grow out of it as a generation and its not a symptom of a deeper loss of direction, but we are reaching into our 20s now and theyre still big fans of these films
Zoomers love Fincber and Ed Norton just like we do
>Definitive Gen X movie
>Resonate with millennials
Bait, or are you just an imbecile?
geriatric millennials are pushing 40 now. they are closer to gen x than zoomers, because the social media boom didn't happen until like 2005/6
>geriatric millennials
early zoomers will be entering their 30s in just 5 years from now
I wonder how will they cope since not being old is one of key foundations of zoomerism
hopefully, by mass suicide
millenials were also once the young kids. So were gen xers when nirvana was around
American society was still worth saving in 1999. Now it would just be a bunch of guys streaming bareknuckle boxing on twitch purely for entertainment purposes.
> Now it would just be a bunch of guys streaming bareknuckle boxing on twitch purely for entertainment purposes.
Why are they like this? Why do they like streaming so much instead of actually doing stuff themselves?
Extreme poverty.
They will never have homes or families. All money goes to food and shelter. Going out is an exhorbitant luxury of the past.
This.
The rare times I spend like 30 or 40€ to have fun during an afternoon. I come back to my beat up chair, my 5 to 10 years old electronics, the same 3 white tee-shirts and the jacket I've had since high school.
Any outdoor activity seems like, and I hate to say it, but a huge waste of money for temporary pleasure.
It was a LARPfest that aged poorly.
>
Rare movie where good triumphs over evil and has a hopeful message.
knew the 90's, and this is very much about the 90's ennui
I'm 29 and this movie changed my life when I watched it earlier this year
Because it came out during a cultural nadir between opportunities to participate and succeed in anything valid and artistic. Gen X was trailing off in terms of artistic merit as the flagships of the generation such as Metallica had reached the apex of their artistic value and were plummeting, GNR were dead, gangster rap was dying, nothing new was happening for masculine White men, and the cultural influences on the upswing were femme like emo, and even rappers had become feminized. At this moment if you were between 18-30 you already knew America was over. This book/movie spoke to your feelings of lacking opportunity and ennui toward everything culture was offering you. The internet culture was fun, but it was not aspirational. It wasn't the equivalent of becoming a guitar hero or whatever would get you massive status that you grew up idolizing. It was only another decade until the suggestion to cut your dick off became mainstream.
