I've not watched it. If I did I'd probably like it and then face the grim reality of liking yet another show that I wouldn't be able to talk about on Cinemaphile without fending off a dozen dedicated shit flingers.

It was aggressively mediocre, the backgrounds used clip art assets and the best things about it were the character designs and voice acting. Magi did some really decent porn of it here that impressed Raye enough to draw fanart of his OCs.
It should have been developed by Nick or TVA, not Elizabeth Dean's "diversity means white women" harpies who'd never worked on any show before. No it wasn't the greatest idea ever but in competent hands it could have been passable. Putting it on CR only ensured the ire of homosexuals who ignored the fact WB paid for its production not their subscription fees.
It's also a good thing Rosemary's design changed considering Raye originally made her nearly indistinguishable from Madoka.

-Inexperienced writing team
-Terrible voice acting (due to shoestring budget)
-Bad character development (due to poor writing)

Negative morale due to Crunchyroll Marketing didn't help, but the budget's the bigger issue.

Not to defend the show's poor quality but I think a lot of criticism against it was preconceived based on feelings about that controversial "trailer" and a hate of Crunchyroll.
