Seeing people in any kind of media talk about nerd shit used to have a level of novelty to it. People would be pumped because a Simpsons episode just made a passing reference to a video game or comic or something. All this junk is mainstream and ubiquitous now so there's no reason to read terrible webcomics to get that fix anymore.

Awkward Zombie's not terrible. It's very hit and miss but it actually has a sense of humour which means it ranks fairly high.
