First question: How does it look "troony" now?
Second question: Even if it did have these so-called "troony" characteristics, how the frick is it more "troony" than the original?
I don't understand what Cinemaphile users actually mean when they say "troony" anymore. It doesn't seem to actually refer to transgender individuals at this point.
I have no idea what else has changed since the pilot, but Pilot Charlie's design fit her pilot characterization much more. Soft, round and chubby-cheeked to visually depict how naïve and very much out of her league she is compared to the sharp and angular demons surrounding her. It's not a bad redesign, but knowing what came before it's clearly less fitting, unless Viv changed her characterization and this new design matches that better.

I like the newer smile and the face shape, but I'm not sure about the eyes, I feel like because the heads slightly smaller it makes the eyes too big, or maybe it's the eyelashes?
Charlie's original design was honestly kind of shit and her new design does a better job of portraying her as a demon trying to do good while her original just made her feel like a blob of sunshine that made no sense being a demon. I think people only like the original more because they got used to it after so long, Charlie actually looks both more her age and more thematically appropriate now. I give it three episodes before people get used to the new design and broadly start to recognize that it's the better one.

Why did they make her look more like Killjoy?
Because Killjoy is mommy material so i think they wanted Charlie to be it too
The original's soft curves suit the character better but I do prefer the more pronounced curl in the new design's bangs.
