The action is some of the best we got in the 10s and all of the bandit characters were instantaneously iconic, i could care less about the girl power shit when so much of the rest of the movie is gold, the other gangs were a great addition to loved the bullet farmers

Btw Furiosa's name reveals something about the original movie - it turns out he's Angry Max not Crazy Max, the whole time. Otherwise this movie would be called Loonyosa not Furious-a

Haven't seen any of them yet but I did see that Z Nation episode that rips off Mad Max and has that cute face painted girl, I think her name was Athena. She gets killed by zombies during it and that made me sort of sad because I wanted her to live. I jerk offd to her death also but only to cope.

Cinemaphile was saying it was going to be shit for months before it came out, especially in light of the review embargo, then it released and only the most dyed-in-the-wool chuds failed to appreciate its brilliance.
Watched in theaters and it felt like life-filler. Unremarkable and uninspired. I kept waiting for the plot to kick in and it never did. Idk why those girls ran away either. It’s like they were isekai’d from Smith College 2016. Irresponsible to do it while pregnant too.

What's so great about Mad Max is that it's as simplistic as the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons. When you think about it, Fury Road isn't terribly different from them. The whole movie is essentially one long extended chase sequence. The film often goes long stretches without much dialogue and a lot of what you see is communicated visually.

It opens with a 40-minute long action scene. Then there's an intermission and then another 40-minute action scene. This movie is a prime example of how to do action. No bullshit, straight to the chase (pun intended). Fricking incredible.
