Why didn't Betty just wish Simon back to normal in Prismo's time room?

Betty had the Enchiridion during elements and studied it thoroughly enough to discover time travel. She must have know about the existence of Prismo, given that she knew about the existence of Golb and other magical entities, not to mention interacting with Normal Man who we know is aware of Prismo and going in his head and seeing a memory where he mentions Pr ismo. We know its totally within Prismo's power to undo the magic of the Ice Crown given that he cured Farmworld Finn of the crown by destroying the crown with the mushroom bomb as a favor to Finn (not even a wish!) without any drastic consequences, so he should easily be able to fulfill Betty's wish and cure Simon of the Ice Crowns influence. If you answer is that Simon would die without the Crown, this could easily be solved by bringing a second person, Marcy seems a good candidate, and having them wish for Simon to be immortal or just longer living.

So, why didn't Betty think of this? Is she stupid?

She didn't know about Prismo. He's not mentioned in the Enchiridion because he's just a wishmaster.

Finn and Jake literally learn about Prismo from the Enchirideon

No they don't. They learn about Prismo because the Lich already knew about him and they followed him

Bro watch the episode again, the Billylitch shows them about Prismo and the mutiverse in the Enchiridion - the little magical guide in the book explains it.

Even if what you say is true, this reduces a major conflict to a communication issue, if Jake and Betty every talked then Simon could have been cured, which is moronic.

None of the characters are at fault, they are all good characters
the writers are at fault, they make the characters do stupid things

It would just create another universe where Simon never got the crown

Except this didn't happen to Farmworld Finn, he was just cured.

That doesn't happen for every single wish. Just the one that are world altering

Prismo wouldn't do that to Jake's bros...

Doesn't he have no choice but to monkey paw everyone? Jake wasn't affected because he found a loophole with changing someone else's wish. On a technicality, it was still the Lich making the wish.

He literally says be very careful with you wish he monkey paws them and its out of his control

Did prismo actively monkeypaw anyone? If anything he helped Jake and cheated Lich out of his wish. But he always granted people exactly what they ask for. It's not exactly a monkeypaw if it doesn't pan out well in the future. It's just a bad wish

he monkeypawn everyone but jake because he was a jake the dog fanboy

Scarab said that Prismo was kinda fricky with how he implemented some wishes, but it seemed to be on a case-by-cases basis.
We've only seen Prismo grant a few wishes, and it's been mostly plot-related.
Prismo did monkeypaw Wyatt's wish in F&C, but Prismo was dealing with grief at the time and just didn't want to be bothered (and it was Wyatt, so he had it coming anyway)

He seemed to genuinely trying to help Magic Man in his flashback. And he just said. "Sorry man this never happened before". So who knows. Maybe he's just a dick to some people and not to others.

I'd believe that. If you're a humble bro, appear scared and are just chill with Prismo (and don't bother him) you'll get what you're after.
If you arrive, demanding he answer your wish like a genie, and get in his way while he's trying to relax, you're getting a monkeypaw.

Because moronic writers. Here are some facts:

    >The Lich, Finn and Jake learn the way to Prismo from the Enchiridion. Which she studied at lenght with Simon
    >She knew about Prismo from Magic Man's memories even if you claim the enchiridion wouldn't help
    >She had magic man's powers with which it would've made it trivial to get to Prismo (he did it before to try to save his wife from Golb)
    >Prismo already saved farmland Finn from the crown's curse without even altering the rest of the timeline. Exactly what Betty would've needed

You know what makes me angry? Look at her head. Look at the curves for the safety cone hat. Her head seems to cave in to fit and this was a common animation mistake for Magic Betty's scenes.

    What were they thinking?

Because the Enchiridion was destroyed when she came to Ooo.
No Enchiridion no portal to Prismo. It's only during Elements that Finn lets her know he has one.
At that point however the Madness + Sadness has made her decide she simply wants to erase everything that ever happened. She doesn't want Simon fixed, she wants the whole thing to never have happened.
She'd have needed to collect more israeliteels than just the ones she needed for her time travel spell to go to Prismo and she obviously always intended to betray Finn.
So she made the wrong choice and gets blasted to Mars. King Man has imposed a punishment on her to help her "reflect" on her actions but she realizes that the only way to get out of it is to bait King Man with something he wants so she can get what she wants.
Thus she decides to involve Golb.
Betty's flaw is an inability to move on and a single tracked mind into problem solving. She never thought to ask anyone for help. She never got to know the people of Ooo otherwise she'd have realized that solution before it was too far gone
