Because it IS a movie? A massive chunk of the game is interactive dialogue and cutscenes, you get a cinematic experience but over the course of like 40 hours.

The fact all images and holograms and any other in game depictions of asari are the asari we're familiar with disproves the mind rape theory. It would need a massive budget just for the costumes and characters, imagine the CGI or sets. Cant make it justice in these days when everything is flopping hard.
