She probably just didn't make it back in time in the original cut or something.
So what happens to her next season? Becomes Queen of the Nomads (who remember, are terrible fighters and get merked by the heroes with ease and can't even kill the crab people), and then she tries to attack the good guys, gets utterly rekt by the smug arm-crossing old hag and her merry band of misfits, cries, pisses her pants, decides to become a good guy.
The character, being 1 of a 2 based pair which are the only good in this series, knows there's no future there. She'd rather be based. Elon Smurf will have some lame zombies then get subverted by a multicultural band of 85 IQ children again or something after messing around with some zombies.
