This was an issue in Power Rangers and Zyuranger, Rita was too impatient and sent monsters out at the first opportunity, while Finster was a perfectionist who wanted to take his time with them.
While it wasn't for Rita specifically, later seasons would have villains explain that sending a bunch of monsters at once wasn't always the best strategy. Either they wouldn't come out as powerful as a single monster with actual effort put into it, or their spells/equipment couldn't handle dealing with multiple monsters, or the monsters could potentially decide to team up and turn against the main villain. So any number of those factors, combined with the fact that Rita was often impatient.
God Power Rangers is fricking cringe.
So glad its dead now.

I mean its a kid show adapted from a japanese superhero show, what did you expect

>what did you expect
Well considering the Japanese superhero show is not actually cringe, I'd expect an adaptation of it not to be cringe.

Mighty morphing-space. Don't remember the jap names for them because I'm not a moronic weeb. Cope and seethe, you're foreign cringe capeshit is still cringe capeshit.

So you've never actually watched any sentai.

I have. Just told you I did. Hate to break it to you, weeb, but sentai is inherently cringe. The camp is what makes it fun. Keep seething, but we both know which series is superior.

You can't even name a series or say what you thought was cringe about it.

You never asked what I thought was cringe about it. And if you're asking what's cringe about jap acting and effects, you're a lost cause.

So answer the question.

Which one? What's cringe about it? See my previous post. The names? Frick if I know. israeliteranger-japs-in-space. You're asking somebody who watched the sentai over a decade ago while stoned. I'll have to check my old laptop pirate bay's history to tell you, but you already know the names so like I give a frick. Again, this is all cope posting because you know MMPR>zyuranger.

Why can't you answer a simple question?
Name a specific show you watched and what you thought was cringe about it.

sentai is definitely cringe in some parts, just a different kind
mostly its only with anything past go onger
Never underestimate the level of autism involved with Power Rangers. It's the same strength as Sonic, but the fans are better at hiding their power levels.
She sent down each monster as soon as it was ready because it kept the Rangers on the defensive. If she waited to stockpile them they'd have taken the fight to her.
>Don Armage is Rita's ex-boyfriend >In the far-future of the main Power Rangers universe, Armage takes over the universe and suppresses the Morphin Grid >He is later defeated by a team of 12 Rangers chosen by the Morphin Masters
>Was the idea Rita was the former Green Ranger completely made up for the movie?
It was, as was Zordon being the Red Ranger. They were always witches/wizards, not Rangers themselves. >If so, why won't they make a sequel with a badass Lord Zedd as the new villain?
Because the 2017 movie sucked. A superhero movie nearly 10 years into the MCU's existence still being that ashamed of the source material had no reason to exist. That was some '90s/early 2000s, "the Bob Hoskins Super Mario Bros movie" bullshit.
>I don't think it sucked
I will say, it's a very good teen angst sci-fi story that feels "inspired by Power Rangers." The problem is, it's not supposed to be inspired by PR, it's supposed to actually be PR, and as a Power Rangers movie it is awful. Half the main cast is gone and the remaining half has been changed (either by personality, design, or both) beyond recognition.
I always remember thinking as a kid that "she's obviously from the japanese power rangers and they just use clips of her for the american power rangers"
I started watching when I was like 5 and didn't notice this until I was 6 or 7. Then I pieced together it would have been easy for the action scenes to all be recycled Japanese footage too. Innocence was lost that day.
I miss watching Zyuranger. I need to go back and finish it, the older brother Green Rainja had just been introduced. Thinking of finishing Magiranger and Ninjaranger too. Maybe the spy one too?
Go-Bus is kino but it's a really self aware season and subverts a lot of typical tropes. It actually DOES play with the idea OP suggests at one point if I remember right.
Why didn't the Rangers just form the Megazord straight away and squish the monsters?
Because Zordon had some gay ass rule about not escalating fights. What bothers me about Power Rangers is that Rita and Zedd know their identities and only use it to their advantage in a threatening way like once or twice. Most of the time they just stalk the Rangers and make plans to mildly inconvenience their day.
>Power Rangers is now completly divorced from Super Sentai >Amerimutts will never lay hteir filthy hand on King Ohger kino.
and all is right in the world.
I haven't finished Geats but I thought what I watched was great. First time a season had hooked me in a long while. I was about half way in but work got in the way.
Geats turns extremely moronic towards the end, but it is still worth finishing, I couldn't get past episode 5 of Gotchard, awful plot, awful acting, awful pokemon ripoff.
I wanted to finish Geats before looking at Gotchard. I have a massive backlog to work through. The older I get the less I want to read subs after a long day. It kind of sucks.
that would have been cheating
She was trying to be cost effective, like a good israeli woman and wife.
Naw, you're thinking of finster
No, Zed was israeli, Rita just convert i guees
she's the reason I have a thing for asian chicks
>yellow fever post
>it's a jungle mud asian
Water is wet
This was an issue in Power Rangers and Zyuranger, Rita was too impatient and sent monsters out at the first opportunity, while Finster was a perfectionist who wanted to take his time with them.
Because the Power Rangers operate on a doctrine of proportional response. Everytime she escalates they match it.
mana cooldowns
Why didn't she just have sex?
what is it about western art that is so unappealing on an erotic level
Amateur artists with minimal training. Race to the bottom to get the most money with the least amount of effort.
Wasn't she having sex with Zed?
That would've made the Rangers unlock all the cool transformations too early and quickly BTFO her before her grand plan would be ready
Damn, I didn't think there'd be an actual explanation.
Later seasons of PR try to explain all kinds of stupid shit. Like one episode explained how come the area behind them always explodes when they morph
What was the explanation?
some bs about how morphing together actually overloads the "morphing grid" and the explosion is the safest release of that energy

Why didn't she cast the mind control spell she used on Tommy on the POTUS and made him trigger a nuclear strike?
>Don Armage is Rita's ex-boyfriend
>In the far-future of the main Power Rangers universe, Armage takes over the universe and suppresses the Morphin Grid
>He is later defeated by a team of 12 Rangers chosen by the Morphin Masters
why was she known as rita repulsa when she was actually pretty cute?
Was the idea Rita was the former Green Ranger completely made up for the movie?
If so, why won't they make a sequel with a badass Lord Zedd as the new villain?
Yeah, I think that was what they were going for. And the movie bombed, despite the sequel bait post credits scene talking about TOMMY.
>Was the idea Rita was the former Green Ranger completely made up for the movie?

I don't think it sucked, I thought the teen characters and their struggles were compelling. Shame there won't be a sequel.

>mastodon zord has 8 legs
I liked it but it takes too long to get going
>Zordon being the Red Ranger
Oh shit I forgot about that.
It wouldn't matter. Zordon would find 5 new ones. The goal is not to kill the rangers but to find a way to disable their OP weapons.
I always remember thinking as a kid that "she's obviously from the japanese power rangers and they just use clips of her for the american power rangers"
Literally everyone knew that except the kids that rode the short bus.
dude as a kid i noticed NONE of that. I had no idea she was dubbed. I had no idea where the show came from.
Short bus kid detected.
I started watching when I was like 5 and didn't notice this until I was 6 or 7. Then I pieced together it would have been easy for the action scenes to all be recycled Japanese footage too. Innocence was lost that day.

Cause they didn't have the stock footage for that.
Why didn't the Rangers just form the Megazord straight away and squish the monsters?
Because its kinda hard to squish people sized things as something the size of a building.
Unsportsmanlike
This was the nerdiest thread I've ever read. That's putting it mildly
You need to go back.
why didn't he just send 7 or 8 stand users at once?
the VA is also the voice of engdub Naota from FLCL
>dub
No one cares.
Why didn’t she just grow giant and step on their robot
>Power Rangers is now completly divorced from Super Sentai
>Amerimutts will never lay hteir filthy hand on King Ohger kino.
and all is right in the world.
Reminder that Kamen Rider is the superior franchise, even if it mostly sucked for the last few years.
I haven't finished Geats but I thought what I watched was great. First time a season had hooked me in a long while. I was about half way in but work got in the way.

Nothing will ever top Gaim. I'm not going to bother.
i hate they are now more depend on belt gimmick to transform unlike the showa eras
I'm gonna be That Guy and say Showa era Rider was worst Rider.
Heisei was best and Reiwa is still too early to call.
But some of the tech is really cool and if I were a kid I'd own all those belts and toys.
