because of this poor lad, while homosexual mchomosexualstein and the lyra playing frick are having their protestant vs catholic allegory, this poor guy carries the film
He was likeable, all the gosling roles that get talked about like that are incredibly vapid and unlikeable. This guy had personality and perspective, so projecting onto him doesn't come as naturally.
remember when he fricked that black chick and she leaked the video? well it was mostly him walking around the house naked jerkin his pecker while she flirted and filmed him. never looked at him the same since.
huh. i didnt know this was set in the 1920s. ive never seen any footage or anything, just posts from here, but nothing indicated to me it was a period piece. i thought it was an argument between two friends at an idyllic village. people die in this?
The movie is mostly about the argument between the friends and life on an isolated small island. Not so much a period piece, the civil war is mentioned maybe 3-4 times and doesn't have a role in the movie
i was using the term period piece pretty loosely (completely fricking wrong). i think the extremely high defintion and clarity of the images i saw made me think it was supposed to be modern, i would of expected something trying to set itself in the 20's to have some sort of film grain, or effect to imply it was old timey.
Unironically because he was racist or else reddit would have been in love with him. I still love the movie. One of the best movies that came out in recent years between all the homosexualry and capeshit movies.
Because I've never even had a friend to leave me.

>why didn't you say hello to me today when I said hello to you today
too handsome and nice.
he admitted at the end that he's a new one
we just don't like this film anymore
I like it

Literally me
The only role I have been able to tolerate this fricking gormless c**t's face in
He's pretty good in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
Are you kidding me, he was annoying as frick and I was glad when he died.
>are having their protestant vs catholic allegory
I must be a pleb because I didn't get this until you said it just now. Frick.
its not a protestant v catholic allegory
That's because it wasn't promoted enough + the setting (Irish countryside in 20s) makes it unrelatable for the wider audience
Irish brogue is literally NOT anybody
Because it's stupid ass movie
Don't bother Da when he's been wankin'
Because Cinemaphile were the only ones who liked this movie. Everyone else was soifacing over the Chinese dildo movie.
>Because it's stupid ass movie
he's not a "cool" loser
just a dull loser

This movie is too slow for zoomers and redditors to watch and make memes out of
This movie was boring as frick and is already forgotten.
because he's the embodiment of the IRA, which nobody wants to be associated with. btw the entire Irish island is the righteous English clay.
People aren't nice enough to relate to him
BORVOVEN

You see a calendar at one point.
because the film isn't entertaining enough on a basic level and it's gay
