In the comics she's early 20s, he's mid-to-late 20s which is the most common age combo in the US, they're peers in everything else. There's only a gap between her and Peter B in Spider-Verse, she's peers with her own Peter and dozens of others.

You don't really explain how this is as an issue, people treat Tony as the real guy and he's some unholy resurrected AI amalgamation by now, alt universe versions of the same character are usually closer than siblings. For all intents and purposes Miles is the one of only two survivors of 1610, everyone else is like an alt universe version of his family and friends to him and it's cool.
