I thought antisemitism was cool again because of all the Palestine stuff. I can never keep up with narrative-driven normie flip-flopping on these types of topics.
Writers write too much, they just can't help themselves. Where books can just ramble on about pointless details for hundreds of pages, movies have to pare things down to the essentials and present a much more streamlined and cohesive story.
Just say you have the attention span of a child and get on with it
>if you don't like reading unnecessary fluff for dozens to hundreds of pages you must be illiterate or have no attention span
A well-written movie should have just as much background information written up, the key is that it doesn't all have to be explicitly stated ad nauseum.
Both mediums are subject to editing, which when done poorly can ruin a work.
Yes, but in terms of length movies have more restrictions to work around and being made to edit things down helps keep everything concise.
There are some decent lit writers who do screenplays such as Krasznahorkai but in general, most movies are lame and it really is a lesser medium than literature. Movies suck and are for wasting time.
I read books, watch tv and movies and have never considered them to be in competition with each other. Sorry that doesn't fit the juvenile paradigm of shitposting.

Most people can’t even write a complete sentence nowadays, how are you going to expect them to read thousands of sentences?
Why do many so called book lovers only read young adult literature like hunger games and all it's clones.
