Because the indie animation was done by white men and white men are being demographically replaced and reviled by the younger brown-majority generation.
    They are replacing us.

    >recent
means they know old stuff exist, they just want to see something new

people used to be proud to work for studios and indie was considered lower quality and more risky.

    now its the opposite.

Some people don't want to acknowledge Newgrounds / Albino Black Sheep / the days of flash
    Too problematic for them

    Those shows have actual budgets.

Just go on YouTube and search for 'animation', have the settings only show the newest things. You will get hundreds of videos of short little cartoons. Now if you want an actual fricking budget...those are hard to get. And it's the reason people pay more attention to even the failing Pixar and Disney than the thing made in 2 weeks by a high school kid.

Why does Cinemaphile pretend 'wokeness' and 'LGBT' characters didn't exist in Cinemaphile material until 2016?

If it doesn't get 20+ million views on youtube and make money from patreon and/or merch sales, it doesn't exist according to them

That's most of Cinemaphile. If there wasn't a thread about it in the last 48 hours it's "dead". I think it's an IQ thing. Like there isn't enough to have a very large concept of things that exist outside the immediate vision.
