Why do people dislike this guy again? He seems pretty talented and I enjoyed most of his stuff. I will admit his humor is hit or miss sometimes but overall he doesn't seem that bad.

I would imagine he was blackballed for making offensive Steven Universe art instead of the Apu thing. Also, I could imagine his attitude and perfectionism might have soured some relationships. I always liked the guy and wish him the best. He seems to have changed which is good but honestly, I don't think he needed to change all that much.

I watch all his videos and check all his tweets. Aside from one minor comment about him ruining relationships in a Brain Dump episode when has he ever brought up the industry or talked about how cool he was for working in it? The only industry thing I think he has done was a storyboard for SpongeBob.

Pre brain dump Max was egotistical and self absorbed while also being anti-pc causing nobody to want to associate with him and in an industry where its all about who you know this fricked him out of ever getting to progress his carrier.
This exclusion from the rest of the industry was humbling and isolating making him into Post Brain Dump Max who has traded in his ego for self pity but is a lot more mellow at least he learned how to balance his sense of humor for a more mainstream audience since then.

How is Max a conservative? He describes himself as a relatively A political person. He didn't hate or love Trump. And one time he said he was responsible for his own happiness. He also likes being an edgelord but also doesn't want to hurt anybody's feelings. I feel like it's a real stretch to say he is conservative. He even asked people to donate to his Patreon so he can afford health insurance. Now even going back to his old podcast Whiseinhimers that he did with Yotam. I really can't think of anything conservative he said there. I think he might have said he was patriotic and liked America. but that was ten years ago. Seriously I am really scratching my head to look for anything conservative about the guy and even with all this, it's quite the stretch. He seems like a centrist to me.
