Are any of the Ben 10 series after the first really that enjoyable? Everything after seemed like slow slogs (when Ben grows up) or just different in an annoying way (that one reboot that looked ugly).
Kai's presentation about alien lore was supposed to be pretentious and stupid because she's a cute ditz in that scene. It didn't "frick up" any worldbuilding by having a character present it in a dumb way one time. Especially when that "worldbuilding" was pretty much nothing more than saying that ayys also used to have low tech stuff.
As someone who didn't want to watch Omniverse after UA ended, my reasons were >the art style is too different >the tone is too different >they ditched characters I liked and added a new one I didn't want >Ben felt like a different character >they're making young Ben flashbacks (not really a bad thing looking back, the time between the OS and AF were never really explored, but I'm only talking about how I felt back then) >they separated Ben and Julie in the stupidest way possible
And even though I didn't watch all of it, I later heard some things like >plot points from previous series, mainly AF and UA, were completely retconned >Ben had a pseudo harem >Kai was brought back as the endgame, and was apparently fricking garbage >some aliens were either extremely underused or not used at all
that really didn't make me want to give the show another chance.
Now, does this all mean Omniverse is bad? Of course not, a lot of people in the fandom seem to say it's the best one, and with time, I've grown to appreciate Omniverse for what it is rather than what it isn't, even if I still haven't watched it in full.
But when I was an autistic 12 going on 13 year old kid, I really did NOT dig the changes that Omniverse made to the series, they wanted to make their own Ben 10 series, but they were not interested in following up UA.
TL;DR: It was too different for my autistic brain to accept I guess.

Because most of it was a bit overdone and it kept the trends that started in ultimate alien which was bastardizing ben. Though this was not the writers fault and more a exec thing but still not fun. Omni was very hit or miss realistically it had some of the most based and kino stuff and some of the most dumb and bland stuff. Like making Kai x ben canon but then you get insane arcs like the feedback arc with so much weird genuine emotions from ben and something we never saw him having a specfic attachment to his alien and seeing a loss.

their whole relationship felt forced as frick from the start of AF. Kevin's personality is based though so it works but I think he works with literally anybody because he's cool like that

But OV had no worldbuilding. OS did the heavy lifting establishing an entire universe, AF and UA built a little off it, but nothing really spectacular compared to OS. OV didn't build anything.

I do think the Omniverse art style is probably the best in the franchise, but it was far from perfect, specially for some of the redesigned aliens.
