I've probably seen them all. He has some awful entries in franchises (Expendables/FnF) but the vast majority of his movies as main star are perfectly decent mid budget action fodder. Transporter 3 and Mechanic 2 stand out as particularly weak and wasn't a big fan if the Beekeeper.
>VOD action movie for geriatric boomerd makes 150 million at box office >HEH THAT DOESNT MEAN IT IS GOOD
Imagine if a hallmark movie made 200 million. That's what The Beekeeper is.
>Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and inferior version with Bradu Pittu >Crank I&2 >Revolver filtered me but interesting watch >prequel to Collateral >Transporter's decent
Rest are okayish, most of which is actionslop
I was kind of neutral/who cares/doesn't make it any better or worse with him until I saw that semi recent Guy Richie piece of shit heist reddit quip movie and it really opened my eyes to how dogshit he is
Statham has admitted in interviews that he's the exact opposite of a tough guy in real life-- He was actually a model before he started getting cast on movies (based on his looks). Like another Anon said: He shows up prepared, knows his lines, hits his marks, and plays the part of "Tough Guy" effectively. tbh he's pretty based for being honest about his off screen persona. Conversely, look at an actor like Robert Deniro-- Dude is an insufferable douchy little b***h irl, but he actually believes he is the tough guy he's played in movies.
His first roles didn't even feature him as an action-y action guy. Most of the time he was just a criminal/criminal adjacent type who said clever things
He's got a great delivery for some fun dialogue if given the chance. Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Crank 1& 2 are easily the best. He brings a bit of charming yet unrepentant butthole vibe to the Fast & the Furious movies which have largely lost their grittier roots in favor of enjoyable jump the shark/race down the dam energy. Even his overseas schlock like War is good. Let the guy be a bit of a goof & kick some ass & you can't go wrong.
Also I think he has a lot of appeal to the Asian demographic because he has an Asian girl in pretty much every movie he's in
snatch was decent. crank was a fun flick as well. at least these are just action movies that aren't acting like they are something bigger, and there will always be demand for those. someone like brie larson continuing to have a career is far more puzzling
The hurling one was great. It's an underrated movie I think. He's a decent actor and actually delivers kino, also chooses the right projects for his abilities. Never disappointed me.
If you've seen them all, then he won

Beekeeper did better than Madame Webb at a fraction of the price
That’s not saying much, a movie of a wet greasy fart would’ve been better than madame web.

Silence, sinner
watched wrath of man yesterday
it was ok
We need cheap B grade schlock entertainment and he's the guy
low effort/low budget films with recognisable main actor lead to flood streaming services with content

correct assessment
>inferior version with Bradu Pittu
Based. Lock Stock>Snatch
Uwe Bolls' Dungeon Siege: In The Name of The King Jason 'Farmer' Statham vs Ray Liotta and his army of ninja goblins
ok then op how about YOU post a list of all the movies YOU have starred in and we can make an honest comparison?
you need to be 18+ to post mate try again in a few years and just lurk for now.
Cringe
>mate
>lurk more
>pretending this hard
Oof, keep it spottemgottem.
Hey, it's a career. Better than the other 99% who try to make it.
I imagine he turns up, hits his cue, no drama or over blown demands, does his job and fricks off. Job done, moves onto the next one.
and he's usually the best part about them. I can't say he's ever made a great film, but i can't say they're boring either.
On this board Jason Statham is a hero! End of discussion!
bit gay innit
Snatch
I was kind of neutral/who cares/doesn't make it any better or worse with him until I saw that semi recent Guy Richie piece of shit heist reddit quip movie and it really opened my eyes to how dogshit he is
ritchie being a hack is in no way a reflection on the professional career of Jason Statham
A friend of mine worked with him on the last expendables. He told me he is a total b***h irl
how so
>last expendables
can you blame him?
it was a shit film, so bad even stallone wanted out

I know nothing about him but it's nice to hear that he doesn't keep the act irl
His first roles didn't even feature him as an action-y action guy. Most of the time he was just a criminal/criminal adjacent type who said clever things
China pays for them.
They're badkino, just like Liam Neeson after age 50 and Keanu Reeves.
he looks like a giant baby
Transporter = Decent to Good
Transporter 2 = Ok / Meh to Decent
Transporter 3 = Good to Very Good
She was somehow a worse actor than the Chinese girl in the first movie.
Will they make transporter 4?
They already made Transporter Refueled, so I would assume not.
she’s so damn sexy with those freckles
War is the only good movie and his a traitor rat in it
He's literally one of the last remaining martial arts stars. Do zoomers have martial arts actors they can look up to?
that sounds like toxic masculinity m8
The Beekeeper was alright.
Transporter 2 is kino
Crank 1 & 2 are some of the best action movies ever made
My gf hated them, though she did like the horsewiener in the sequel.
He has a working man chav charm to him which is why he's the favourite movie star of blue collar men.
Translation: he’s bald
Bad in what sense? I don't think he's ever really larped as someone he's not. He plays one role and does it well.
>Why peepo like white heterosexo male hero that kicks everyone asses and fricks the hot babe
Who knows...truly an unsolved mystery.
Staham fricks trannies. you can tell by his head shape
seethe
Still no Shaw Familia movie. Vin is one jealous btich
love the man
a real thespian
But he’s a dude that likes women so that makes him straight.
Bad bait
>Snatch
>Lock Stock
get fricked ya c**t
Yeah, some pretty git who was so gay for himself he drown. Now piss off you creaky geezer before shit on you & tell your pigs it's chocolate

He test really high on china
China is keeping Hollywood alive
Is this the Gay stripper from the Eurasure videos?
Guy Ritchie's fault
hobbs & shaw is 8/10
Mike Oxmaul.
snatch was decent. crank was a fun flick as well. at least these are just action movies that aren't acting like they are something bigger, and there will always be demand for those. someone like brie larson continuing to have a career is far more puzzling
The Transporter is pretty fun cause it's action, yet he doesn't kill anyone.
solid middle of the road entertainment, 10 years from now you'll be making threads going "how come there aren't any action stars"
But we have Timothy Chalmet & Tom Holland!
I will party the day the action star dies. What an annoying genre of pointlessness.
From Gilgamesh to Arnold, you can't destroy the human desire to create champions against our demons
There has never been an action hero kino.
There. I said it.
Predator
You won't outlive the monomyth
“What’s the job”
“Im gonna need a crew”
“Whose the target “
*comes out of retirement*
“Do you know who I am”
The hurling one was great. It's an underrated movie I think. He's a decent actor and actually delivers kino, also chooses the right projects for his abilities. Never disappointed me.
wild
Maybe, but he's badass.
5 minutes Turkish
>not liking transporter or crank
t. homo
He's the British Vin Diesel. Only plays one character, and is shit at it, but still somehow gets work.
Just because they play over the top characters sincerely, doesn't mean they are "bad". It means you are autistic
Because he is non-stop kino machine.
Sure he has a few stinkers but he just doesn't stop.
last ray of hope for balding men
>balding "men"
ftfy
Literally the best example of quality movie does not mean fun movie
I liked Meg 2.
The Meg movies are such fun
He is just a beekeeper trying to make a living
