Because they're moronic.
Many superhero/shonen fans think how strong each character is directly correlates to how good their piece if fiction is.
This is sadly true. Infact most fans would forget the original meaning of the show because they focus on only battles.
Some fans still put themselves in the blanket that the writers would never pull an ass pull in their stories.
The funny thing is that in reality, it's usually the opposite. Flying brick types are almost always horribly written.
I don’t know how, this is so obvious but I never actually made the connection like that.
People don’t want to see their favorite characters that they’ve been loving since childhood get their ass kicked. Plus power scaling autists think strength equals good character, so in their mind seeing their favorite lose means that he’s a worse character than the opponent he’s fighting
power levels are to males what shipping is to females.
What's the Saitama of shipping?
Something that doesn’t live up to the hype? Starco.
It has to be a good idea that takes the pisso ut of shipping, but then took itself seriously and missed the point. Probably JFK x Joan from that Clone High reboot.
I like how there trying to fuel the autism fires by trying to say that Goku vs Superman is now an ideological battle
GvS1 remains the most SOULful. GvS2 was them being crab asses and GvS3 was the same thing in the opposite direction where even though they had Superman win they basically go "yeah...Goku and manga are way more popular...but read capeshit though!" Both were a waste of time that could have been used for another match
Also they would use Superboy prime to add to Superman when they would separate Goku Black and Goku no problem.
One of the issues is the match ups are just fusions of all the variations of the character which is pretty lazy on their part.
Thing is when they say supes is limitless, that still means limitless potential just Goku. So they are basically arguing the same bullshit but in a different wrapper
>I like how there trying to fuel the autism fires by trying to say that Goku vs Superman is now an ideological battle
It always was, but on the sense of death battle's goku vs superman being a thinly-veiled "dragonball is gay and stupid and we hate it, superman is a zillion times better" tripe from the writers.
They pay to advertise
Because they make animations to go with it. And they attempt to put scientific theory into their decision making which in reality is just an excuse to seem legit.
They made a lot of mistakes in the past or at least 1 I remember, but they also use the character as the idea they represent. Often leading to conclusions that take away from character growth at all.
Death Battle would be the ones that say, "we decide and that's how it is." When in actuality they are just doing it for views.
Remember their dumb conclusions? Most notably DIO being 1500x the speed of light, having nuke-level punches, and defeating Alucard?
Also I think Wolverine should have beaten Raiden, but that one's pretty old at this point.
>people
just mentally stunted manchildren
I wonder if they had this kind of autism in the ancient world
>nah dude Perseus could totally take Odysseus
>man it was such an asspull when Apollo helped Paris shoot Achilles
Considering Roman made prettyboy busts and statues of Julius and Alexander the Great, I wouldn't be surprised if they did but with famous generals and mercenaries.
Only morons don't listen to deathbattle
They're the leading experts on charactervscharacter discussions.
My small toe is better at battleboarding than those morons.
>Had to pull out the "every episode takes place in a vacuum" cope when Raven beat Phoenix
Leading experts my ass.
>Only morons listen to deathbattle
Fixed. Had a typo there, bud
fantasy football for nerds
It's about as serious as the rest of the modern world
