Why do so many adult sitcoms have a Family Guy esque style when it’s been made abundantly clear that people are tired of it?

It doesn't matter what people think, it matters what execs think, and execs are all out of touch with what people want. You can come up with something completely original that everyone loves but if executives can't compare it to something they've had success with before they aren't going to greenlight it.

It's what the higher-ups think we want.

This. In a thread a while ago, someone mentioned that back in the day execs just didn't "get" SpongeBob. They thought it was too weird and quiet. The boating school was a compromise between Hillenburg and the execs brcause the execs really wanted SpongeBob to be a kid. Now everything on Nick has to be "the next SpongeBob."

Studio and network executives are always at least 10-15 years behind the times. On top of that, they're more interested in trying to leech off the popularity of something that already exists, rather than gamble on the next big hit.

Even if people are tired of it, they'll still watch it anyways.
And execs have a very rigid idea of what adult cartoons are/should be, so if people stop watching Family Guy clones execs will just think people don't like adult cartoons anymore and give up on them altogether.

People aren't tired of it, you're tired of it. Just the fact that you're here means you probably watch well above the average number of cartoons for your demographic. Someone that watches one or two episodes a week isn't getting burnt out like you.

My dude, Big Mouth has had 7 seasons.
Clearly there are people out there who like this shit.
Your lore cartoons are not that fricking popular because most of that potential audience (especially on the male side and ESPECIALLY if those males are non-white) prefers anime.

Nice jumping to conclusions, homosexual. I don't give a shit about lore cartoons, I just want cartoons that actually attempt to do their own shit.

Then why have The Prince, Hoops and most of the other FG clones been cancelled after a single season or two?

Hell, even FG is now getting lower ratings than it did when it was cancelled for getting low ratings.
