Why do so many comic fans hate the idea of a Joker who rapes and murders and wants him to be a classy guy with a code of what he will and won’t do? In my opinion the Joker should be as fricked up as possible and all the best interpretations of him are as such.

The same reason Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees don’t rape people. Fricking is an inherently human action, it is the biological imperative, even if it’s forced, you can identify a human emotion behind it: lust.
When a villain has zero interest in sex, consensual or otherwise it turns them into something alien and dangerous. When they’re only interested in activities that maim and kill other people they’re unlike anything that exists in nature. Even in nature all the greatest killers are at least hunting for food. If they arent fricking and they aren’t killing to sustain thier own life, the character is just a menace for its own sake.

On the surface this seems right but people are still ok with characters who kill or even torture for human reasons like revenge or simply being on the other side.
I mean even mild racism or sexism is depicted as the lowest of the low in media, never mind rape. A character can join the heroes after killing and torturing but he called a black guy a Black person or called the strong female lead sweet cheeks, he's a 1 dimensional villain, these characters are also almost always white even though most sexual abuse comes from non-whites to the point where it was all you saw in that viral video of the woman walking the streets for hours

This. Joker not being funny is one thing, but his continued survival drags the entire setting down with him. Batman comes off as an autistic moron when he saves Joker from accidentally killing himself for the 9001th time, while Joker brags about how he will keep killing more guys. Somehow Gotham is full of people with so little prospects they join the Joker crew which has like a 5% survival rate per operation. The entire justice system of a country with the death penalty is really so incompetent that it can't execute Joker for his latest murder spree. Insanity defense? Just make up an excuse and do it anyway, nobody will complain. In the US, in the most dangerous city of all, full of criminals and guns, where everybody by this point knows somebody who got harmed or killed by Joker, not a single one will just shoot the fricker dead on the street. Frick you Injustice, if Superman just lasered Joker in two, everybody in the world would celebrate. If Flash had any sense, he would just instagib Joker without telling anybody and Batman would be eternally batmad when he can't prove shit. Holy shit Joker is such a terrible character.

Hitman is a pretty good DC series.
The Demon (the 90s version) is good too. (it also ties in with Hitman a little bit but you don't have to read The Demon in order to be able to enjoy Hitman)

He is in a weird position where he is an incredibly popular character so they can’t go over the line but also he can only function as a villain so you can’t make him good like Harley or Venom. So there’s just a constant bouncing between being Merchandise Joker and being Villain Joker. Like when they made him cut his own face off for the shits and giggles, and had to reverse it after a while because people wanted le heckin marketable Jokerino back. People just want to like him too much now to not ree at DC when he does things they don’t like.

I haven't heard anyone say this, if anything it's the opposite, they love the agent of chaos ultimate evil shit. I think people in general are just overly squeamish about rape now though.
