Yes but, you should decide for yourself if you think it is worth watching instead of people's suggestions. I think a lot of people that come to watch Amphibia later because of a recommendation inevitably over-hype themselves. IMO Amphibia is the type of series you should be on board with on your own first and foremost, I've seen too many people say they watched just because someone told them "it has plot later". If you go in with that mindset you have set up yourself for disappointment. I would only recommend it to people who would be on board with it from the very initial concept and not those who just want their plot driven cartoon fix.

Boob means fool, she's stupid and the whole achool knows she's easy to intellectually and emotionally manipulate. Her "friends" constantly make her the clown of the groups and almost all of the boys suckered or intimidated her into getting a handy or a bj behind the gym. Occasionally you get some bleeding heart girl or beta male that tries to "help" her but she always tells them to buzz off since her friends would never try to use her and anybody who says otherwise is trying to trick her.
You could technically say it is serialised, but not in the way loregays THINK it's serialised. Ideas, storylines and character interactions carry over between episodes across the whole show, but they're often not big story beats or important lore tidbits.
Bet these types of people don't even know that Anne changed over the course of the series. It's the type of superficiality that I hate. Like, we get a stark contrast as to how she acts but the fact that Schaff didn't even acknowledge Sasha's character all throughout 3B and only calling it a slog is what plants doubts in me that he's critiquing this well.
Loregays coomsume plotpoints that never get anywhere and that are there for the sake of being there but they'll call it something 2deep4u when in reality the subtle and slow paced change is where kino is at.

This is what makes Reunion so good of a finale for Season 1. It's not Anne and Sasha reuniting after a season apart that makes it great, we only ever meet Sasha for one and a bit episodes prior to this. It's seeing Anne grow and stand up for herself, defending the people she's grown to care about in Wartwood. The Anne from the first episode would NEVER have done what she did here if she hadn't gone through the growth and development she did across the season. She would've tossed Hop Pop and Wartwood to the toads and go back to being Sasha's lapdog without a second thought. You don't get that sense of satisfaction from this moment if you just skip all the episodes that aren't "plot-relevant".

What's the problem with the scene in the Plantar's basement? She acted like her normal domineering self with Anne in S1 and Anne finally pushed back, she doubled down and tried to deceive and coerce Anne back in line in S2 and it just made Anne hate her. She was busy trying to survive until she found Anne's diary and she had time to reflect. She hit rock bottom but had the strength (red gem trait) to climb out of the hole she dug.

He said he wanted his next work to be a movie or miniseries that was epic and dramatic as Amphibia's finales which I don't think is the kind of cartoons Disney is currently into, unless Amphibia's success gave him enough cred to make an original animated show/movie for Disney+.
HBO doesn't do animation really. I actually would short the industry right now. I cannot think of a viable place to put up animation. The only one I would say would be AppleTV. They are original content only and are similar to early netflix in which they spend more than they make because they have long term plans for the service and plan to be profitable later. I like Severance.
There was a buttload of new animated Disney shows announced today, including one that's fully serializrd so I think there is hope for him to be able to still work at and pitch to the house of mouse.

You could technically say it is serialised, but not in the way loregays THINK it's serialised. Ideas, storylines and character interactions carry over between episodes across the whole show, but they're often not big story beats or important lore tidbits.
Bet these types of people don't even know that Anne changed over the course of the series. It's the type of superficiality that I hate. Like, we get a stark contrast as to how she acts but the fact that Schaff didn't even acknowledge Sasha's character all throughout 3B and only calling it a slog is what plants doubts in me that he's critiquing this well.
Loregays coomsume plotpoints that never get anywhere and that are there for the sake of being there but they'll call it something 2deep4u when in reality the subtle and slow paced change is where kino is at.

This is what makes Reunion so good of a finale for Season 1. It's not Anne and Sasha reuniting after a season apart that makes it great, we only ever meet Sasha for one and a bit episodes prior to this. It's seeing Anne grow and stand up for herself, defending the people she's grown to care about in Wartwood. The Anne from the first episode would NEVER have done what she did here if she hadn't gone through the growth and development she did across the season. She would've tossed Hop Pop and Wartwood to the toads and go back to being Sasha's lapdog without a second thought. You don't get that sense of satisfaction from this moment if you just skip all the episodes that aren't "plot-relevant".

In contrast, Sasha's redemption basically only happens because of the Andrias mural (she's pretty much a unapologetic hero in the series from then on) and she acts way too over the top in Turning Point for it to feel natural.
How so? Seems like all her development was relegated to scenes in the Core. At least there was some messy active conflict involved for Sasha, even if it took diary-ex-machina to provide the final push to change
What's the problem with the scene in the Plantar's basement? She acted like her normal domineering self with Anne in S1 and Anne finally pushed back, she doubled down and tried to deceive and coerce Anne back in line in S2 and it just made Anne hate her. She was busy trying to survive until she found Anne's diary and she had time to reflect. She hit rock bottom but had the strength (red gem trait) to climb out of the hole she dug.
