Everyone talks about the seven evil ex-boyfriends but most of Scott Pilgrim is relationship drama between Scott and Ramona. BLOM came up with the concept on the fly and clearly didn't care about it that much. The twins are considered two separate exes but are forced to share the same book and are barely in it. The only exes who actually matter from a story perspective are Todd and Gideon, and Todd's primary role is being Envy's new boyfriend who Scott has to fight in order to get over her.
