Why do you guys like anime? Don’t you know it’s made for teenagers by autistic people? Why don’t you watch mecha made for men like transformers or pacific rim?

Because that shit is made for manbabies who are too insecure to watch anime.
I will give some honest answers to bait because I'm autistic. Transformers does not scratch certain itches I have and is overall a different kind of fiction from some of the shows I like. This truism can actually be applied to western mecha as a whole, mainly because there's simply less of it than there is anime.
Pacific Rim is a very curious case. It died in its cradle and was effectively rejected domestically. If it was made for men, they let us know what they thought of it a long time ago. I think it's alright, but it has not gotten the treatment a work of its quality deserves. Call me when there's more of it done decently.
FPBP
im autistic
pacific rim was a great first episode to a series that will run for years, fleshing out the characters and world
too bad they didn't continue it
/m/ hates any mecha that's not a UC Gundam rehash, and we're starting to hate them too.
>we
Yes.
>/m/ hates any mecha that's not a UC Gundam rehash, and i'm starting to hate them too.
Fixed. You don't speak for everyone else. Now stop coping about gundam 24/7.
/m/ is filled with 80iq brown thirdie manchildren addicted to plastic kit toys, of course they love gunslop here
Pacific Rim is all flash and no substance.
Transformers is locked into their lore and that stops them from being creative with the series. The story is stale and played out and the design team hasn't given use anything fun since the 80's.
Optimus wile always be a truck, etc.
Hope that answers your question.
Why don’t YOU watch mecha made for men like Robot Jox?
im autistic
>Pacific Rimjob
falling for bait again and again.
I miss classic /m/
It's obvious you're a mecha newbie so I'll go easy on you.
The best Transformers series were all produced in Japan so they are anime.
Pacific Rim is great but there's only two movies. Even if you add all the Transformers movies, it's still less content than a two cour anime series.
Not all mecha anime is like Witch From Mercury; most aren't.
GaoGaiGar is out on blu-ray. Watch it.
I hate anime but just like anime Transformers hasn't been good since the 80s.
>Transformers hasn't been good since the 80s.
80s transformers wasn't even good. Just stupid wacky episodic slice of life shit like Optimus Playing Basketball.
The series only got good in the 90s and early 00s when Japs turned it into Brave.
To be fair, pre 1980s that was the same with Gundam until the movies came out. Zeta and the hyper serious Gundams were such a melodramatic mess filled with pointless drama that I almost prefer the dumb campy stuff.
Have you even seen tv Gundam? That shit was not "dumb campy" the first episode is literally "hyper serious drama". It has the same tone as Zeta minus a good ending. In MSG you have love triangles and squares, Amuro being broken down, leaving his Mom, his dad losing his mind, tons of humanized characters dying.
I don't know how you watch that and think it's some dumb campy show unless your brain is just filtering out all the words to focus on shapes and colors.
>Zeta and the hyper serious Gundams were such a melodramatic mess filled with pointless drama that I almost prefer the dumb campy stuff.
The stuff you mentioned is the bullshit melodramatic homosexualry I was talking about. Having personal and believable characters is good. However, most of the time in Gundam when it tries to be 100% serious it stops being believable and more moronic. I just wanted to beat the shit out of Kamille for being such a pussified wimp who couldn't stop whining about how bad the women have it. MSG Gundam's show (not the movies, which btw were amazing because they kept the plot focused and minimalized the dumb love triangle nonsense) openly embraced the dumb 1970's stereotypes at times and it made for a far better experience than something like Zeta.
>mad at an anime character
You are projecting your insecurities onto a cartoon.
I got tired of watching pacific rim for the 20th time despite it being one of my favorite western movies
Because i'm autistic and I embrace the autism
Now kneel.
