Why does Cinemaphile hate The Shield so much? It's barely discussed. It's one of the greatest shows ever made.

you don't have to post lies if you wanted a The Shield thread
It's true. These threads barely get more than 20 replies.
Also Shield General I guess
shield threads only get replies if you succ post in the OP. those are the rules
edit Alvaraz to be Moe
moe abandoned us
he.. made you seed?
Because we killed a cawwwp!!!
This is one of the greatest pilot endings ever. Not just because it's a great hook but also considering how this single event effects the entire course of the show from beginning to end.
true. I watched the first episode and was like yeah this is ok and after the ending I was like
>AAYYEEAAAAAHHH!!!
and watched the whole show
They were /ourguys/
Did Lem and Ronnie ever find out about this?
Also, I loved their dynamic
>"Vic led. I followed. One isn't any worse than the other. But together, we became a monster."
Yeah Lem knew when Kavanaugh had him wired up
Ronnie knew because Shane told him and he still stuck with Vic, he even said he wish he knew sooner so that he could had better cover everything up compared to Shane
>even said he wish he knew sooner
Ah, that's right! I never liked Ronnie. He thought he was on Vic/Shane's level. He's a jabroni and I laughed at his ending.
Who here was hoping they would get caught?
Who here was hoping they would get away scot free?
Scot free for me. I dont really think they did anything wrong personally
Vic didn't really get caught. He wormed his way out. Honestly I wish it had been him and not Ronnie.
Is this true?
Only the breaking bad guy qualifies. Chris and Shane were both more evil and less complex than the evil protagonist. They both become slightly more complex when it’s too late but neither are victims. Chris especially it’s crazy how much sympathy he gets
>WOW THEY MADE FUN OF HIS KID BECAUSE HE’S A DUMB JUNKIE THIS IS EVIL POOR GUY
when chris said vito should be forced to eat his own dick and die because he sucked a guy’s dick like cmon bro
Shane was a good cop (though probably still an butthole) before he met Vic.
>He had no choice, the dog was reaching
Who was in the wrong here?
>I post in off topic threads, then after my bans I reset my router and post bait in comfy generals for easy (You)s. Then there's avatargayging with pre-wall images of my waifu to incite a flame war in actress career discussion threads. Oh, and I deliberately use unironically, keyed, locked, and reddit spacing to make Anons mad. You said total immunity, right?
They should have gotten rid of Lem after he burned the money.
Lem was trying to cleanse their sins and negative karma. Lem was ok with all the past crimes they committed because it led to a greater good (putting bad guys away). I love the episode where they plan on killing Armadillo but they try and keep it a secret from Lem but then Lem comes up to Vic and tells him "we should kill because he's a child molesting piece of shit" it's hard not to like Lem despite the little screen time he really gets. He's the heart of the group and clearly the closest to being a good person on the team.
If you can't see that the you got filtered and you probably don't have a heart
I forgot to mention he was against the money train from the beginning because it had no "good" to it. He saw that it was out of pure greed so he was never really on board with it. But like the rest of the team, he trusted Vic and followed his lead
>HEY GUYS THE ARMENIAN MONEY TRA-
>somebody enters the room
>awkward silence
>repeat for the next 15 episodes
>Sorry boss he just seemed like one of us
I liked Lem. He was so accepting of Trevon
It's almost like they were trying to keep a secret right in front of the very people they worked with
I wanted more Shipping Container Black person Death Matches!
Didn't Shane do a callback and force Vic's family into a shipping container (they were greenlit).
The whole Shane works for the Arminians arc was pretty stupid, they could have gotten away with it
Vic admitting everything was pretty stupid in hindsight too, he didn't even need the deal at that point
I keep reading that as Animaniacs. Which would have been much more kino
I'm still undecided as to whether Shane telling the Armenians about the money train, then flip-flopping about it half a second later, to be a deliberate reflection of his reckless character or if it was just a really clumsy way for the writers to move the plot along.
shitty side plots
shitty side characters
The Shield is dragged down by the same thing that made Furio so disappointing: TV dramas are not the place for kickass tough guys. Writers have to take them out of their comfort zone and explore their characters, and destroy them in the process.
Vic Mackey should have been in a movie, not a TV series.
"negging" is how you pick up bar bawds. not how you promote discussion about Cinemaphile's favorite cop show
>TV dramas are not the place for kickass tough guys. Writers have to take them out of their comfort zone and explore their characters, and destroy them in the process.
That's exactly what The Shield does. You never saw it. You're just a moronic newbie.
