Why do you say Michael Keaton looks too bad for this role now?

Why does Cinemaphile say Michael Keaton looks too bad for this role now? Beetlejuice looks better the closer you get to looking like a corpse.

I'm sure Keaton will be fine but I doubt highly the movie will be any good.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll download this when eventually, but I'm not seeing this in theaters. I won't financially support anything Tim Burton or that Wednesday girl do.

it'll be a blast from the past and rekindle all the love you had for the original!
just like Bill and Ted 3: face the music and matrix 4

bill and ted 2 sucked compared to the original. I rewatched both recently and the first one was still funny while the second was boring as frick.

          chekt
saw them both in the cinema when they came out and have watched them again numerous times since.
both are good, the second one is just a different style.
the first is better because it's more about interesting time travel and princesses, but the second is well made and memorable.
not sure why you dodged talking about 3, which unfortunately was an abomination

I found the second to be superior. But I did see Bogus Journey before I saw excellent adventure.

I can't imagine why they are making this besides cashgrab.jpg.
That said I'm still hoping it will be good no matter how bad the odds are against it.

William Dafoe being in it automatically elevates it to a baseline "fine" status. Even if the movie only has a few good jokes, it's still guaranteed to have a couple of good Dafoe scenes.

This has only ever worked for one movie and that was Terminator 2

        >the beetlejuice cartoon where him and lydia were friends

that always bugged me, even as a kid. in the movie he tries to rape her more than once, manipulates her, promises to essentially kill her and take her to the afterlife to find the maitlands, then tries to force her to marry him. Then suddenly they're buddies.

          >he tries to rape her more than once
he oogled her then wanted to do a greencard marriage. is that all it takes to be accused of rape?

its a little more than "ogling" when you're a supernatural snake monster that's only stopped by the fact you can be put back in the box by having your name said three times. Not to mention
            >i've come for your daughter chuck

You're breaking down the scenes as if it's some creepypasta when this one shot and the one line of dialogue, "I think she digs me" is enough for you to call him a potential rapist.

He was closer to an antagonist than a villain. He just makes deals and people back out of the deals halfway.

Keaton is always great and I think he sincerely looks close to exactly the same as he did 30 years ago. Even his voice is right on point.

Movie will suck though, it’s current year.

don't know why they think it's good to just remake the same scenes they did in the 80s for the 'new' film.
face exploding, him saying "eeep" and throwing staples on her face to keep her quiet.
the charm of the original was that it was varied and surprising. just reusing the scenes makes it neither

It has few chances to suck compared to other new movieslop. It has Dafoe in it. I havent seen a bad movie with Dafoe yet.

I'm genuinely mildly pleased that Michael Keaton seems to have brute forced his way into remaining at least somewhat relevant in Hollywood. Good for him. Tim Burton has been awful for twenty years thoughbeit.
