Why do zoomers fawn over this guy? He's honestly a very unremarkable actor. Is it just because of the "literally me irl fr fr" characters he plays?

He's good at picking projects, for the most part. And obviously because he's literally us.
This is true, Arnie, Chuck Norris, Kris Kristofferson, John Travolta, John Shaft, Jackie Chan, Charles Bronson and Sly Stallone very often were unremarkable as 'actors' but made great action movies.
He's solid at playing the one character he does, and there aren't many others who do it. Also he's literally me IRL.
Why are you literally obsessed with me and making stupid threads like this?
I don't know if you have seen movies lately, but there aren't a lot of white skinned ~~**~~ actors around to idolize let alone even see in movies these days.
he's me if I had sex
>literally me
Don’t know. He’s forever The Notebook guy for me
Or maybe it’s because he’s multi-talented (proven good singer as well as actor) and has decades of good roles under his belt, dipshit OP.
t. Born 97
I have yet to see him ever give a mediocre performance, even in the most cringe movies. He's good at everything he touches.
Seriously, if you think the Barbie movie would’ve reached a billie without him in it, you’re delusional. Greta Gerwig couldn’t direct her way out of a paper bag.
He is literally the last A list actor still active.
he was the last actor to get noticed before the smart phone brain drain of 2011
Have you seen Lars and the Real Girl? The thing about him is that he's really versatile. Romance, comedy, action, drama, etc. He can do it all without "overacting".
Versatility always means mediocrity in lieu of specialisation in my experience
What movies have you acted in?
I can't out myself here anon. The press would eat me alive.
It's exactly the opposite for actors, acting isn't a tech or science job where specialization is useful. An actor that can only play 1 archetype is doomed to be made fun of and booted within 5-8 years
Have you acted? Acting a type of persona requires understanding that persona. Like any industry it's difficult to become an expert in multiple areas. Savants are usually specialised.
If you can only master 1 persona you are seriously flawed as an actor, partly a reason why a lot of main actors from big series never manage to break through in films afterwards. Other than maybe some western or noir actors from the 40's/'50s I really can't think of a good or successful actor that only had one specialization. The other way around, when I think about some of the actors that are considered the biggest and have had long careers, it's the ones that have shown a wide versatility
FRICK
Did you cum and lose nnn?
>zoomers
You mean millennials. Zoomers fawn over Mr. Beast and Tom Holland.
I've seen zoomers spam this stupid fricking image in their memes like it was the greatest shot they've ever seen in their entire lives. There's evidently a younger audience for Gosling.
remember when gosling was a Cinemaphile meme? now every normalgay says “literally me” whenever they see him
Because he comes off as friendly and approachable despite the mild aspies.
>friendly and approachable despite the mild aspies
Unironically how I would describe myself
Anon, being unable to make eye contact and raving about how much you hate women doesn't count as having just "mild aspies".
zoomers? us millenial sisters claim goose
he's a meme on Cinemaphile and a meme actor.
He's not particularly talented or charismatic, and he definitely lacks range. Although he was good in Drive, and maybe Only God Forgives, not many other good performances though
Because he's kino
I have but one husbando but Goosey is quite tempting.
Drive is certified Cinemaphilecore, you hapless newbie. And BR2049 was a Cinemaphile event, due in no small part to the Goose. Learn to keep up.
Cinemaphile is evidently full of plebs, so I'm not surprised that plebian films like Drive become "/tv/core" or whatever.

God I wish I was reviewchad
sorry that we insulted Shawshank million times
>liking Villenuerebbitslop
He's humble, smart, likeable and charismatic, he's also very sharp at comedy, he knows it and uses it in every interview.
Do you expect people to like some garbage dumbass like DiCaprio or Clooney?
>smart
how so? He seems pretty dim in interviews. I doubt he'd be doing anything remarkable if he wasn't photogenic enough to be a movie star.
He is pretty smart by american actor standars, the fact that he didnt gave his take on Israel-palestine like anyone cares confirms this
>smart by american actor standars
yeah, that's a fair point
He's white
I'm a 34 year old zoomer and I like him because he's a handsome, talented guy who stars in good movies.
He’s one of those people that’s universally likable despite whatever differences of opinion you might have. The fact he can cause random dogs on the street to instantaneously enter estrus is proof enough.
Him and keanu should hold hands
That'd be Reddit wholesome 100!!!
I'm 30 and I love Gosling. I don't understand why you don't.
Jared Goff is a football player, not an actor
He is literally me
