Why hasn’t this come up in the Mainstream yet?

No it didn’t. Jesus Christ to need to go back to plebbut. These types of “I’m apart of the group” posts don’t belong on an anonymous image board. Avatar sucked and rode on a gimmick.

Why hasn’t this come up in the Mainstream yet?

Stfu no it didn’t. It took the titular character the series was based on and reduced him to a nearly mute side character while the main story focuses on a dykey Charlize Theron. The story amounts to one big circle in a not very satisfying way. It shouldn’t have been called Mad Max: Fury Road it should have been called “Fury Road: from the Mad Max universe”

But Max is in it. Why not just call it "Fury Road?"

That The best one and he’s got the most screen time and dialogue of any character by far. Road warrior is why anyone cares about any of them

The story in 2 wasn't about Max at all. He really had nothing to do with the conflict of blonde stronk womyn camp and evil mask dude.

And that was the movie that followed Mad Max 1. Which was entirely about Max. And all the fricked up shit and him going full Saw movie is pretty much brushed over in the first 5 minutes of MM2.

It's full of ugly digital matte composited backgrounds and CGI ragdolls. The citadel scenes look like shit and the sandstorm was full CGI. Color grading is also gross in general, especially in the day for night scenes. This movie has a lot of good stunts but they're almost always surrounded by ugliness.

Why would they imagine it would be any different in the outside world? They’re women. It’s post apoc. Thems the breaks.

It’s actually another example of women being written like men because historically women have always fell into practically for situations like this. That’s why their romantic literature skews toward escapism and reckless abandon. Because in truth they’re very practical and adept at compartmentalization

Only modern women who never experienced hardship. Which I guess is a testament to how well they were treated and kept lol.
Idk post apoc settings with current era values really irks me. I never played TLOU2 but I always thought it was annoying that Ellie insisted on genetic deadendedness in spite of a diminishing population and low genetic diversity. It’s a missed opportunity in terms of interesting writing too. Sexual self sacrifice is a very underexplored concept in the modern landscape

there was the whole bit about the woman land which is why they left and where they were headed, which turned out to be even worse so they went back.
either way when presented with the choice of being repeatedly used as a breeding/milk machine vs chancing it i don't blame them for chancing it.

Nah they weren’t the breeding/milk machines those were lesser women, they were royalty. Expected to conceive princes and princesses in exchange for the absolute peak of luxury and freedom. I’m surprised they weren’t all there voluntarily. Maybe they were and just got pozzed by Fury’s second wave feminism.

It was a very good movie, but you can't deny it was one of the first movies to do the bait and switch of getting the audience in with a beloved character, but actually being about a strong womyn. Even if in this case it was well executed and they were smart enough not to actively shit on Max. I only say this in retrospect, it blew me away at the time.
Also lmao at people believing the "it's all practical" bullshit when there are multiple instances like the sandstorm where cgi is clearly used.

It came out in 2015, during the post-gamergate/pre-Trump era when everyone was complaining about feminists and SJWs (for context this was before the word "woke" was used in a negative connotation - that happened in late 2016) and because the film features "strong female characters" it ended up having a whole "culture war" shitfight about it on some sites including this one. The funny thing is it was almost entirely prompted by one guy on some obscure website which then got turned into a whole movement of misogynists/MRA types boycotting the movie. In reality the "boycott" was literally one guy who didn't even remember the plot to Thunderdome correctly, and the script had been written in the late 90s/early 2000s and had nothing to do with shitty, mid-2010s, blogger "girl boss" feminism whatsoever

Back in my grandmas day, the women in the neighbourhood had their own club where they would gather, drink tea, gossip, exchange recipes, knit and sew clothes and do other women things. There were some women who worked, but most women had a very active social life because of all the spare time they had.
