The entire premise of the show is hinged on Diana (Jena Malone) using her "ESP" to predict that Martin Jones (Miles Teller) will be come a destructive force upon the pedophilic, criminal, degenerate world and that Jesus Roja (Augusto Aguilera) is the most vicious, carnage inducing, masculine criminal. We get 7.5 episode of pure Refn kino as it where. Then it gets 'retconed' and Martin is killed; Jesus gets ass blasted by his girlfriend and eats his own cum; Jena is actually speaking with aliens; and our Mary Sue girl boss Yaritza is actually the destructive force and those 12 hours you just watched aren't actually correct.

Probably because it's all style no substance. Fun and pretty to watch but nothing deeper to warrant a rewatch.
It was trying so hard to be artsy that I accidently put the "visually impaired" audio on where a narrator says what is happening on screen. I thought the episode was supposed to be read to me like a fairytale because of how wannabe artsy it was up until that point. I didn't even realize it was out of place until I came here to discuss it.

We did when it came out. First 8 episodes were mostly good. Last 2 sucked dick. Its been settled. What did you guys think of Copenhagen Cowboy? I thought it had its moments, but the majority of it was so silly it felt like unintentional self parody.
CC was a trip, there were some shots that were so ludicrous I would laugh out loud.
Refn being allowed to work without his handlers reigning in the autism almost feels like outsider art.
terrible show. Refn gives in to his worst impulses -- le slow dialogue and slow camerawork are le artistic! He should remain a DP/soundguy, or a music video director.
