Why does DC Comics hate Batman

>If I actually wanted to stop crime I would solve poverty

This is an actual line from Batman (after touching Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth) in the movie, THE FLASH.

Between this and Matt Reeves saying Batman doesn’t donate to charity or programs, why does DC Comics hate Batman?

Why does DC Comics imply Batman doesn’t donate money to charities and Gotham programs despite there being media where he does?

You don’t see Disney or Sony mistreating their characters this badly?

Batman has 100 billion liquid dollars in the comics which he amounts by mass illegal tax evasion.
The most “charity work” he’s ever done in the comics is hiring a single small time crook roastie to be a titty receptionist at his Waynetech hotel. The Catwoman and Detective Comics series shows that poverty and homelessness is extreme and rampant throughout all of Gotham.

If he wanted to fix Gotham’s poverty he legit could at any time, he just doesn’t.

Literally what he did. In fact corporate Tax Dodging via stocks costs poorer countries over 100 billion per year, meaning Bruce condemns a bunch of niglets in zimbabwe to starve everytime he splurges on new rims for his batmobile.

Different anon here. I think he means you're dumb for thinking the tax evasion is illegal. It's perfectly legal, but so was slavery. Something can be perfectly legal and unjust, just as something absolutely righteous and selfless can be illegal, like helping slaves escape.

Reed could. He has literally said he could, he’s said it to Peter Parker and he’s said it to Sue. The Wakandans have also said they have a cure for cancer they just don’t share with America because they think they aren’t “worthy”.
Just like Batman, they just don’t because they’d rather play dressup.

Because Twitter hates Batman. Twitter hates Batman because he is a “rich white man” that “beats up the poor and mentally ill instead of donating money to programs to end crime permanently”.
Warner Bros and DC Comics are run by morons that love Twitter users and pander to them. So if Twitter hates Batman for beating up innocent people and not donating to charity, then WB and DC agree.
WB and DC Comics are also willing to self-deprecate” their characters. They have been this way since people criticized the Snyder films so they had stuff like Teen Titans Go and Harley Quinn and etc making fun of themselves. Which to a certain extent, can be fun or interesting. But modern WB and DC have taken it a bit too far sometimes. Like implying that Superman has a poop fetish or calling Batman a fascist, which sometimes hurts the characters brand and image. WB and DC think it is okay and that fans will remain loyal no matter what and don’t see the damage they are doing (which isn’t surprising since these are the same people that approved Batman and Superman killing before).

TLDR WB and DC are dumb.

It's the whole defund the police/police bad ideology that's undercutting the commentary about Batman at WB. The creatives doing these movies fundamentally don't believe that locking up street criminals by force prevents crime which is an essential element of Batman thus Batman's approach to crime stopping has to be shown not to actually ever work which is what the reeves movies does but to demonstrate that point in a story Batman has to be setup to not realize/only believe in the singular approach of beating up and scaring street criminals as the answer to crime which has never been the sole tactic of Batman to begin with. And Cinemaphile wonders why the Rippaverse is such a smashing success when moronic leftist pozz is nonsensically pushed like this.

Eat shit. In real life, billionaires aren't good.

Sorry, bootlickers, there is no moral value in hoarding wealth while people starve. It is not a noble or aspirational thing to do, it is greed. Any other mental gymnastics you want to do to justify it so you can dream beyond your pissy 10k a year are fantasy and nothing more.

Just that, fantasy. Like humanoid aliens, amazonian warrior women, or people who can run faster than light.

Actually a major issue of the US tax code is that charity work tends to increase your wealth. Look at Bill Fates for example, he gas tons of charities and they don't drain but increase his net worth. Once you are passed a billion its actually really hard for you to just not make money even by spending it.

The most recent Batman arc was for revealing that Wayne Enterprises is actually just another hoarding leech corporation and Bruce barely uses any of it for helping Gotham.
It ain’t just Joker saying it either to be a dick. Bruce admits to Barbara at the end that Joker was right and he just never cared enough to use his wealth to help individuals. Lucius refuses to give his money back for a long long while afterwards because of this exact reason because he would only spend it on himself.

In the Batman: Bloom arc they reveal Bruce has a cloning machine inside the Batcave he uses to clone himself new bodies so if he ever dies his mind will just be implanted into a new freshly-grown clone body.

So Bruce splurged on this bullshit to make himself immortal so he can fight the clown forever until the heat-death of the DC universe…
but he never once considered that hey, maybe this would be the cure to every single disease on the planet earth as we know it? Maybe this would be better spent on the world and the poor and the sick than just myself and the clown?

To be fair, the intent of that movie was to show Bruce consumed with so much rage that he is blinded by everything else, but realizes by the end that he needs to change a present a more hopeful image. I would imagine the sequel plans to explore Bruce taking on his more traditional playboy persona and engaging more with society outside of crime-fighting.

Do these people really think a billionaire can just solve the economy with money?

The government already spends tens of millions of dollars into anti-poverty programs. And all that money ends up doing jack shit.

The best that Batman can do to “solve poverty” is to actively gentrify the shit out of Gotham, moving the problem somewhere else. The second best is just being a fictional George Soros, donating money to “progressive” social causes. The third best is becoming Donald Trump. None of these have solved capitalism, nor can they.

      >Do these people really think a billionaire can just solve the economy with money?
It's the same people who think throwing money at innr city schools will just fix the problems like there aren't multiple social factors at play. People want easy fixes to difficult problems.

We temporarily lifted a significant amount of child families out of poverty just by dishing out money to them during the pandemic. And then threw them back to poverty when the cash payments stopped. It’s all about giving people money directly instead of making it hard to get it thanks to means testing and internationally making the application process to be almost impossible
to use by design (like we’ve seen in Florida).

Batman could do a lot. Like building tons of low cost housing, investing in infrastructure, hiring an army of pro bono lawyers to help people beat bullshit charges that they’re forced to accept by doing plea deals which is how the vast majority of all convictions these days are done instead of going to court. They stack bs charges and then pressure you to admit guilt and plead down to a lesser charge, because you can’t afford to fight it in court with a good lawyer and DAs are incentivised to go hard on you if you don’t take the deal to make their lives easier, and that’s before we got to the issue of minimum sentencing for the higher charges where the only pragmatic thing to do is agree to plead down and do five years instead of risking getting full ten, twenty if you go to court and lose. And with a public attorney who’s willing overworked and has not time for you? You’re going to lose.

The fundamental problem is power creep.
In the typical Golden Age Batman had his little cave, and a car, and a chemistry set, a plane, and a gyrocopter (obsolete technology even then). You got the occasional "wow he has some cool shit!" story, but for the most part if you read a collection of stories at the time you get the feeling that the Waynes wealth was along the lines of "own several successful stores in town, and some industry in Gotham." With that kind of money you could fund a one-man war on crime, but you couldn't just snap your fingers and eliminate poverty in town.
At this point Batman has hovercrafts, human-level-intelligence supercomputers, teleporters, and builds massive satellites and spaceships because he thinks he might need them some day. He's become a guy so stupidly wealthy he honestly could be doing more good just writing checks instead of going after The Riddler. All because of power creep.

well to be fair, to solve poverty the world would require a complete re structuration we could give everyone a home, education and food supply, but the quality of life for the middle class would decrease and crime would still exist, violent and petty crime would be a lot less but other types would increase.
while rich people seem to have enough money for everything the truth is that is imaginary money, i believe if the 10 richest persons in the world tried to use it all into something there would just not be enough real stuff to cover it, the value of the currency used would decrease almost becoming worthless.
