No, they were'nt. They were a mix of different sects, like Puritans, Quakers, Reformationists, and Lutherans. Most of the people in the US at the time had left England or Europe because of persecution by Protestants. That's not including the impact of Deists and the Great Awakening. Your comment is hilariously naive, childish and ignorant to the reality of religion in the colonies before and during the Revolution, considering the conflict was with the King, who was the head of the church.
The Catholics in the colonies were primarily in Maryland, and were from Britain, Germany and France. The Catholic religion was all but made illegal in Britain and the colonies, Maryland was founded with the basis of freedom of faith, in defiance against the Church Of England.

No, they're not. They're purposefully broken away from the Protestant church. The Reformists and Seperatists have literal names for how they don't consider themselves Protestant, and settle in the colonies to escape Protestant tyranny.

Yes? All the old English literature even was kept in Churches (we only have Beowulf out of luck, the Tudors destroyed the rest) and the most powerful native Anglos were in the Church, and as a foreign ruler Henri could not stand that. The Church wasn't "ran" from Rome, not really. At that time it was very autonomous.

Nope, you're claiming that the irish fought in droves on the side of the patriots in the revolutionary war when all evidence states this as untrue and that irish immigration only really started happening at the beginning of the 19th century
The "scotch irish" (anglos) were the most eager fighters in the patriot armies in the revolutionary war, and they fought highland scottish loyalists

Oh Jesus Christ you again, Cinemaphile then /misc/ now fricking Cinemaphile. I speak as an Irish person - not one of us has any interest in claiming Andrew Jackson or any other “scotch Irish” American as our own. He can burn in hell

Then why do so many of your people claim him as irish? Why the frick do your people keep claiming the anglo irish like Jonathan Swift as irish?

                Anonymous

Gonna need some sources on those claims because I already provided some claiming that Irish Gaelic (not spoken by protestants/Scotch-Irish) was nearly as common as English was among the American ranks. I know both sides were predominately Protestant Anglos, but you still haven't disproven any of my sources.

You keep claiming this but the only examples you can provide is this Wikipedia article and one plastic paddy website. Not one example of an actual Irish person doing what you’re describing. You’ll be talking about Celtic woman singing Scarborough Fair next
                > Why the frick do your people keep claiming the anglo irish like Jonathan Swift as irish?
Jonathan Swift is barely ever mentioned as an Irish writer anyway, like Anglo-Irish like Yeats and Wilde are because they had developed a strong Irish identity by that point, they themselves would have been the first to object to someone denying their Irishness. And Irish people who view Irish nationality in terms of Gaelic ethnic purity are generally considered freaks because ethno-nationalism is verboten for Irish thanks to our pro-British press.

      >Giving testimony to the British House of Commons in 1779, American politician-turned- loyalist Joseph Galloway estimated that Irishmen composed perhaps one-half of the Continental Army. Five years later, after Washington’s army won the war, another expert witness told Parliament that “the Irish language was as commonly spoken in the American ranks as English” and that Irish valor “determined the contest.”

His character is this movie would basically been okay with wearing the mask and shutting down for two weeks. When the vaccine came out he would've been hesitant, but his son's really wanted the vaccine despite his objections. His second oldest son ran and got the vaccine and died from it. So now instead of being hesitant to the vaccine, he is anti-vax and wants to destroy Pfizer

"Few Gaelic-speaking people emigrated from Ireland, Cornwall or Wales
to the American colonies before the nineteenth century. Celtic Irish
immigrants were excluded by law from some American colonies. A South
Carolina statute of 1716 forbade “what is commonly called native Irish, or
persons of known scandalous character or Roman Catholics.”22
Gaelic-speaking Scottish highlanders also were ethnically distinct from
the borderers. There was no love lost between lowland and highland Scots,
who differed in language, politics, religion and culture. In America, Scottish
highlanders tended to settle apart in North Carolina’s Cape Fear Valley,
where Gaelic continued to be spoken even into the late twentieth century.
Many of these transplanted highlanders became Tories in the American
Revolution, largely because their border neighbors were Whig. The fighting
between them was as savage as any conflict in North Britain.23"

By the eighteenth century, the culture of this region bore little
resemblence to the customs of the ancient Celts. The dominant language
was English—unlike that of Gaelic-speaking Irish Catholic peasants,
Scottish highlanders, Welsh cottagers, and Cornish miners. The borderers
had comparatively little contact (much of it hostile) with these Celtic
people. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, it was observed that
“the Ulster settlers mingled freely with the English Puritans and
Huguenots,” but married very rarely with the Gaelic-speaking people of
    Ireland and Scotland.21

    >Which leads me to add one Remark: That the Number of purely white People in the World is proportionably very small. All Africa is black or tawny. Asia chiefly tawny. America (exclusive of the new Comers) wholly so. And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call a swarthy Complexion; as are the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth. I could wish their Numbers were increased. And while we are, as I may call it, Scouring our Planet, by clearing America of Woods, and so making this Side of our Globe reflect a brighter Light to the Eyes of Inhabitants in Mars or Venus, why should we in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken its People? why increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red? But perhaps I am partial to the Complexion of my Country, for such Kind of Partiality is natural to Mankind.
